I find myself in the same position, Ben.

    It's a quandary for sure.

Got to hand it to Dyche. Remarkable job considering they inevitably lose their best players. Close season they lost Keane and Gray - you'd never know to look at them.

So much for being one trick ponies.

    The ****s them.

No, done well really - good luck to the under dog.

To be fair they are one trick ponies, they play the same brand of dull football every week, its no coincidence most of their wins come by a single goal margin and the opponents typically have more possession.

Its the sort of football that Pulis and Big Sam were always criticised for.

But at the end of the day taking that squad to 4th is an impressive achievement, credit where its due.

I don’t think you’ve watched Burnley this season. They are playing a more expansive passing game.

Got 4/1 for them to finish top half a couple of months or so back.

    Easy money.

Burnley have played the most long balls of any PL team this season and have the second fewest short passes, they also have the third lowest possession stats.

I'm not sure how that fits in with this expansive passing game.

What? Winning football? They look entertaining from the odd match I have seen. I'd go and ask on a Burnley forum if they are happy with the style of play that has got them to 4th in the table.

I doubt very much you'll find anyone supporting your outlook.

Exactly, its winning football, if you're a fan of a small club and you're winning PL games then quite frankly, you're not going to give a **** how those results come about.

If you offered our fans 4th in the PL and dull football then they'd take it every day of the week, I know I would.

Burnley fans will openly admit they are not the most expansive or exciting team to watch, they're also realistic enough to know if they tried playing like that with this squad then they wouldn't be anywhere near as successful, they have a resourceful manager and a group of players giving their all, whats not for them to like?
