I would be amazed if any guidelines were released - just snippets when requested, as in the case of the OSC. I see no benefit in receiving them when we can see their idea of branding on a daily basis; it's pointless.

It's no secret, either, that they are not arsed about supporters, so those on the committee shouldn't expect to much, if anything at all. Will these supporters be invited to another meeting before the February members are selected? Probably not.

Here's the question: what does this dialogue achieve for (a) the supporters who attend (b) the club?

The answer is D. nothing can be written to cover as and when to use Hull City, City, Hull, Tigers, The Tigers, Hull City Tigers, The Club, The Home team, Us or We.

    Yes it can
They might have chosen not to, but that is exactly what brand guidelines do
I genuinely think that there will be guidelines, there bloody should be, and they won’t say ‘don’t use Hull City’ but they will just list all of the ways to use various wording...it’s just none of them will include the word City (unless used in the phrase Hull City Tigers)
    We’ll probably never know though

I’d be amazed too, but it was Ehab who asked the committee to review them so he should be called out on not circulating them to enable what he asked

    a) it’s an opportunity for the fans who attend to have their say. Some of them want to raise issues of people standing in the ground, some get the opportunity to challenge the branding, concessions and other important issues
    b) the club get to pretend they listen to the fans, because if they do decide to do something useful like bring back concessions because the gate receipts are worrying them now the tv money is less, they can pretend that the change was due to listening to the fans

Call him out on it by all means; it will make no difference.

    a) Everything you mention has been raised at high regulatory level.

b). The club pretend to listen to the fans and can claim to be working with them - they are not.

I think the context of the meeting will be different from what was envisaged after the last one.
My guess and this is only a guess is that a set of brand guidelines will be put forward by the club and the committee will review them.
I haven’t had any real conversation about this with our rep as there was nothing to discuss.

Not read all the comments on here but most are talking about the branding!
How has the committee got on with coming up with suitable discount pricing?
Did they get the information they needed to do this?
Would be interesting to see what our %of kids and OAP are to adults compared to other clubs

Good luck to Geoff and the rest tonight.

Either there is some commitment to remedy at least some of the issues tonight, or the Supporters Committee is dead in the water.

For that reason, I expect something will be achieved.

I think you mean nothing will be achieved and therefore we the fans will be left with no doubt that the owners intend to do nothing?

Is it luck they need? If so then yes, good luck to them.

Can't see how any commitment won't be as false as any of those in the past, but we'll see.

Will it be anymore dead in the water than any committee has been with these owners or just another set of supporters, selected by the owners and put in place, as previously announced, in February. And so the charade continues.

    Prediction:
    - Some fan reps present some ideas about the name and the concessions.
    - Ehab explains why the current way is so great but promises to seriously consider the ideas.
    - How's about another meeting next month to give us time to consider?

    Next month
    - we've considered. Here's a counter proposal. How's about another meeting next month to gve you time to consider?

    February
    - All change on the committee. Can't really discuss stuff that's previously been discussed. Let's go back to the start.

I fear this scenario but hope the Allams have seen sense at least. On second thoughts Allams see sense? Nah.

I think this idea that the support puts together a brand guideline proposal and presents it to the club is unworkable.
Firstly the club has not supplied the current guidelines.
The committee has not met or discussed the current guidelines let alone discussed future ones.
It is not the place of anyone group or individual on the committee to say that they represent the support of the club. The committee is representive of the clubs support and that is different to representing the supporters.
The support has not elected its own representatives on the committee and that is why it does not matter if the supporters who are invited to attend changes.
When the minutes of the meetings are published the groups that the committee members belong to are shown as an indicator nothing more. This is demonstrated by the fact that a supporter may be linked to the stand that they sit in. No one in that stand elected them, the club selected them. There is a critical difference.
No supporter group has any value in the meeting in representing its members or the supporter base. They only have one voice one vote and that is the same as the stand representative supporters.

The club promises to produce brand guidelines then doesn't
The supporters either put forward some suggestions or they are talking to themselves
They probably are talking to themselves but are giving dialogue a go
If no meaningful dialogue occurs then they are wasting their time
    What next?
