I don't know how it's even a ****ing debate, from the other angle Lovren clearly pushes him in the middle of his back and he goes over, as he's running at pace on a soaking pitch.
in the real world its not a debate. there can be no debate in the real world about that. I'd be more interested in knowing if you lot are that bad on the ball or did we really rush you that much you couldn't make a pass never mind two.
We were rushed, we have been much better than that. But a midfield of Rooney, Sigurdsson, Davies and Gueye were always going to be on the back foot. Gueye helped break up play before it became a danger. Davies just wanted too long on the ball. Let’s see if we improve against Rafas Newcastle who he will have pumped up to win.
The bias is ridiculous at times mate. Not just this board either. I just don't get it, it is what it is, us fans can't change it so why pretend or argue it is something out isn't? Edit... I don't believe Saint is biased, he's old school and just refuses to accept that diving should be part of the game. And rightly so too
Already is mate but too many see red/yellow cards or physical assaults when most of us just see football. Do you honestly think when the majority agree no foul/hanball/dive has been committed these people will accept the word of one man with instant playback Alright, you have Astro who doesn't have much to say about football bar "Coutinho tackled, no red card given" "keeper stops ball with hand, no penalty given" but he is fun and quite sharp when you counter him. I am talking about people like some on the Spurs board who see about 10 yellows and 5 reds not given against their team every game and are quite serious about it (in fairness they see it in other games where a team they don't like is involved), not all by any means but a good few.
they really are the worse. I cannot believe that they all think like that but they really all do think like astro and mean it
You REALLY think Siggy's was a better chance than Mane's? I mean REALLY? This isn't a ****ing PlayStation game - this is why dickheads with laptops and algorithms are buying woeful, young footballers instead of watching them play.
So a missed penalty is not a better chance than a thirty five yard, lame free kick that drops right into the goalies chest?
He probably just thinks Siggy got it on target, Mane may as well just give it to one of the defenders.
You're right. I do get my hackles up a bit when it's inferred that I'm biased. I've maintained the same stance for my entire time on this board, regardless of who is playing. I will never accept that cheating, or so called "professionalism", is ok. No-one is prepared to actually analyse this because they've taken up entrenched positions and just try to mock anyone who disagrees. Schoolboy debating techniques.
If it's off target, no! Do you not think a shot on target is a better chance than hitting the corner flag?
Okay, let's run that again - which situation would you rather team was in, the Mane chance or the Siggy shot?
But with players like Herrera feigning injury and diving it just makes it more difficult, like if he really got hurt as much as he pretends he'd have had to retire by now, it'll never be more of a contact sport until the cheats are weeded out and punished and shamed retrospectively on a regular basis if they manage to con the officials.
