While i hate to see Leeds ever lose, our cup runs of past two seasons have done little but cause problems. Rubbish league runs afterwards, our best players in the limelight only to be poached, extra finance which seems to dissapper. I, for one, wont be too bothere if we bow out tonight
We did ****e in the League Cup last season and the FA cup wasn't much better. The only reason we were in the limelight in the FA Cup was because we got Arsenal in the third round and got a replay, 2 games is hardly a big deal.
wot u say is correct mugsey---gut its to early yet for the big boys lets get our players fit ---then we will see how good or crap we are
I'd say that our previous blips weren't to do with the cup runs, rather Grayson's reluctance to rotate. Example - 6 days after we beat Man Utd, we played Wycombe (bottom of the league at the time) at home and the exact same team played. Whenever we get chances to rotate with games at home against the worser teams we don't. It's not like playing Lloyd Sam instead of Snoddy would cause us to lose to a team in the relegation zone.
We should be building the team moral and confidence, Gradel and Howson already missed a match due to suspension, agree rest Clayton and maybe Kisnorbo but we should be playing the rest and giving them game time under their belts
He seems more willing to do that now. All part of the learning curve for a young manager and I can understand the reluctance to change a winning team.
