Yes, but were not winning. What do you think is going to change that, doing nothing?

With Ollie we have a trend of lose approx 6 then go on a good spell of form and win some, and then...

So hopefully we will soon return to winning ways! :)

That's a big ask with the tough Christmas games. Here's hoping though.

Were you pleased with Pawel''s performance Saturday at RB Ski?

Ok . I’m going to say I’m one of the olly out brigade. And before I get shouted down I will give you my reasons why .

    1) If we are a club that are in financial difficulty and we need to bring the youngsters through the ranks then we need to do so . Manning and furlong have been managed really poorly . Both come on the scene and looked decent . After several scenarios of being played then bombed out when they do get on the pitch their confidence is shot . Other promising players either loaned out after doing well in u23 or not getting a chance, including new signings .
    2) Management persist with has beens who constantly don’t make the grade .
    3) only thing we here from management is blood and guts never give up , our cave etc etc . A Sunday league manager can say all this .
    4) 50 Game’s in and I see no improvement.
    5) We are very predictable and easy to play against that’s why we can’t break the teams down around us in the league . If we can see we are predictable so must other coaches .
    6) constant squad rotation. If u find a winning formula stick to it . When we won games he changed things round . No one ever can predict our team on a sat .
    7) I feel the game has moved on and I feel our management team hasn’t . Someone mentioned it earlier , we can’t even hit a team on the break , counterattack Football has become a key .

If people say ok but who would u bring in my answer would be someone who could do the job properly !

Re your point 1 on young players I'd add that the young players have to be good enough. Manning got a few games last season but to me he looks a bit slow at this level, not as good as the 3 regulars this season in midfield, and Chair was preferred to him when Freeman was out and looks a better prospect.

Furlong gets chances and looks a promising defender but is injured at the moment. I don't think he ever played RB as well as Pawel did Saturday, but could get back in when fit agaon as RB if Pawel plays further forward or if Ollie wants a more defensive back.

Perhaps Eze will be recalled and get a go. Striker is where we really need good youngsters coming through at the moment.

Winger signed from Blackpool Saturday was Bright Samuel I think. He came on for another youngster Chair Saturday.

But that goes back to my point of poor man management. He put them in then as soon as they did something wrong or had one bad game he pulled them out . Constantly in and out . That’s not nuturing talent . That’s poor management .

I will seperate Paweł's performance from the result, which was obviously disapointing.

Paweł played his best game for some time as he was present as a winger, took players on and went to the bye-line. He make some very neat cut backs (which should have been put away) and also put in decent crosses. He even scored a goal, but that was a massive fluke. However, I am sure that he was pleased to get his name on the score sheet.

I rated him as a 7 (from 10) and thought he may have been even our MOTM. Clive from LFW gave him a joint top score of 6 and gave the MOTM awared to Robinson.

I am pleased with Paweł's performance and hope that he will gain confidence and will build on this. :)

I went Saturday and didn't expect anything but a defeat. The empty seats may jog the board into doing something. With Holloway at the helm we're in serious trouble. But it is not just him, while Ferdinand is DoF, he won't appoint a manager who'll undermine his authority

But I'm pretty sure he was our RB, though a very attacking one. I thought he was our best player, did well enough defensively and was involved in our best attacks, provided crosses that Freeman should have scored from and Smith could have. But he was used too little out wide.

True. He did play as right back. But he managed to go positively forward.

I am not saying that Ollie did not fiddle unnecessarily...for example at the end of last season when we were "safe" but currently I am not sure he has very much choice.

The defence picks itself on a rotating basis of anyone who can stand and is not suspended.

We all know our best midfield...and Ollie tries to play it week in week out ( sorry it does not include Manning)....but at the moment the feeling that we have a really good midfield is fading

It is the forward line where he fiddles....but he really cannot find someone who can press high and/or score. Conor and Mackie press high but don't score. Sylla and Smith score but don't work hard enough.

What we are really missing imho is a striker...... if we had some who could convert our chances with more success than currently we would obviously not be in quite such dire straights when we concede...for different reasons I am beginning to feel like I did at the end of the JFH era...if we concede we lose as we just can't score.

We can't afford a striker...I hope Eze is the answer ( btw....What ever happened to ReeceCox)

One point is that the austerity might lighten next summer. He defends keeping Holloway, then describes his frustration with the way selects and runs the team, but concludes we couldn’t get anyone better. I agree that, with our record, the chances of actually appointing someone better are low, but they do exist, and some might be tempted by a slight loosening of the purse strings next summer. And if that is the case wouldn’t you want them in earlier to work with the majority of players who will be staying?

I am also getting sick of hearing how brilliant our midfield is. They all look like decent players but they clearly have zero impact. They don’t score goals, they don’t create goals (most of ours come from long punts or goalmouth scrambles from set pieces) and obviously they don’t help the defence prevent goals.

Totally agree on the midfield, whilst I think we do have good players they seem to get off light. The forwards get slaughtered but are they really getting the sort of chances to slot away? We haven't had that spark, that attacking prowess since well, he who shall not be mentioned was here
