Performance wise the players on the pitch did well, it's not like his selection meant that Everton caused us problems.

My fav Christmas song is Last Christmas by WHAM what's yours?

I like WHAM too. Put the final nail in the spurs juggernaught coffin last year. No ones catching up with City this year.

Also it doesn't matter how well you play, its the result that matters :p.

That's not the point. Attractive football is where you want to be in the long haul.

I meant Luvs point that because you played well then the squad rotation and putting your B team out was justified. I'd say getting the draw means that it wasn't the right move no matter how well you played.

Other than the fact that it was two clear first team players ****ing up like... sure. I even said pick best team pre game. the fact is mane and lovren cost us and both would have been playing.

despite jimmy hating on milner he played well and henderson would play irrespective.

Every player ****s up in every game. However if you're best team ain't playing and you don't win, then there will obviously be a if they were out would you have gone out and won question bandied around.

Whilst mane was greedy and missed a great opportunity, his skill got him into that position in the first place. Why not blame Salah for missing an absolute sitter when he headed wide?

Totally agree - as it turned out, nothing wrong with the team selection and they did what they needed to do apart from two dreadful individual errors: Mane and Lovren. The latter is a lost cause, but the former has not been half the player he was last season before he got injured, and that worries me. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him benched on Wednesday. Lovren though is enjoying the luxury of our best CB being injured, and our second best CB having to play right back. I don't rate TAA as a right back, but until Clyne comes back (and he'll probably not be match fit until the Spring, after such a long lay off) I'd really think about Gomez at CB instead of Lovren. Seems he's fireproof though.

You do realise that statistic leaves out the Mane miss, don't you?

Major **** ups or minor **** ups though?

I mean selfishly shooting 5 yards wide rather than rolling in a team mate for a 100% winner of a goal. thats a major screw up.

Just like pushing over a guy running away from goal to concede a pen is a major **** up.

For me salah header was on first glance a glorious change but on replay he's just a bit high for him and he cann't physically get over it. It made it much harder as a result... not really a **** up then.

Lets be clear it wasn't a B team there were a few changes and some through injury. The team played well and controlled the game and if it wasn't for 2 incidents within the whole game we'd have 3 points and the rotation wouldn't be an issue. However if we hadn't played well and scraped a win I'd be more concerned that the players we have in the sqaud are not good enough due to the performance.

Everyone did their job and played well a squad is there to be used and we should be able to put players in without it being a big deal.

Would Coutinho and Firmino have made the difference? Maybe but it was clearly tactical and Klopp wanted a strong midfield other than creative and to use the 2 wide men more than Coutinho playing through what he would have predicted to have been a congested middle of the park.

In that game the way everton went about it... probably firmino would have made a big difference in terms of runs. there was no point in solanke trying to be a central player for crosses up against two big men.

would wijnaldum have made any difference? nope. no need for him. he plays square as well.

    Woudl can.. nope.

Coutinho? tbh yes he would have made some difference first half IMO when we had 80% possession. but did ox do much wrong? i didn't think so.

you could argue ox and coutinho could have started. but did milner do much wrong. he overloaded their left nicely.... meh...

should have been 2 up at HT and game over.

lovren should never have touched the lad either...

    coulda shoulda stuff.

I think he does a half decent Firmino impersonation, he dropped deep a few times and played some good flick ons and linked well, he certainly suits the way we play more than Studge.
