Losers, in the main, will always look to the referee as the reason why they lost and this match appears no different. The red card was as clear as you could wish and the referee allowed 2 good advantage play-ons. Perhaps their supporters and management are ticked off that all the luck went our way and sometimes you need to be good to be lucky, so suck it up Blades fans because you looked like a good contender to me, but you lost and that's that.

I admit that I would feel p155ed off if I were a Blades fan - to have dominated the game for large periods, hitting the woodwork 4 times and forcing the opposition keeper into some brilliant saves - extremely frustrating - as we all know - it's happened to us many times.

I would like to think that I would be gracious enough to acknowledge the red card though - I would be more upset with our player for getting himself red carded with a stupid tackle when our team was in control, rather than blame the ref for a bad decision. Besides, if Wilder feels that strongly about it, there is an appeals process he can use..........

If anything, after the sending off it was WILDER who lost them the game. If he had studied us, he would have known that we struggle to break down teams that park the bus. He still pushed his side forward in search of a win with his 10 men - not a great idea against a team which likes to hit on the break. Bad management imho. He should have held out for the draw.

With the 3 points for a win and only one point for a draw, I understand why Wilder went for it!

... with 11 men yes, but with 10 men, vs a side which although not playing well, is above him in the league - for a reason? Also, playing for a draw would have restricted US to only 1 point too, leaving us level on points.

Must admit I like the philosophy that Wilder puts forward....aiming for top two, not just playoffs. Even with 10 men they looked dangerous. We agree to disagree!!
