Well he's certainly hitting a bit of form now. 2 against Everton a couple of weeks back, one at Bournemouth last week and one today. That Gabbiadini isn't bad either if we can get him in the side too...
I'd like to see Southampton push on in the second half of the season. You've certainly got the framework to be a really good side, if you can pull all of the elements together at the same time.
Like I say, we're only a couple of signings away imo. Rumours of interest in Walcott and Giroud actually. Really can't see Giroud but Walcott is a possibility I suppose if he's willing to take a paycut... more likey Hammers though tbh. What we really need though is a number 10 type, creative goal scoring midfielder... grow on trees I know
I hope we keep Giroud, and I think he wants to stay. Walcott is done at Arsenal to be honest. We've got players like Riess Nelson and Eddie Nketiah who are pushing for his place in the squad now. Walcott is 28 and needs to move on to play some football for himself. He's still a good player, but he's not got what it takes week in week out at a top club.
Sadly I have to agree with this. He has woefully fallen short of his potential and his confidence is low. He needs a change of scenery and maybe some sun
