God, I don't want to go into another long drawn-out bloody argument over technicalities, but there are plenty of circumstances where an attacker can draw a foul without the defender actually "making a challenge". Back into him, stick a leg out, stop suddenly etc. If he hadn't have been tight to him we'd have blamed him for that. But none of that matters, my argument is about players flopping for no reason, regardless of what the opposing player does.
If Moreno had made the same challenge as Lovren, he'd be getting crucified. My only surprise is that people are defending Lovren. The only reason he's getting away with the criticism though is because the Everton player made the most of the contact; aka cheated.
