If you read properly you’d have seen I loved Pelle. I pointed out when he let himself down with the flicks and when he failed to hold it up. I also pointed out his strengths- regularly. He frustrated me because he was good for us but had what was needed to be even better for us.

I knew you’d throw Pelle at me.

No need to dig Davis today. None at all. Be happy then even without digging a player even when he’s not in the discussion or even playing. I think it’s unjust.

The Kingsland lino made so many errors it was making Mr Madley look worse than he actually was!

 

Well he has to contradict every critic pointed to the referees. It's like in a Monty Phyton sketch really.

 

Gutted to lose that ... we played very well again.

Austin & Hojberg have transformed this team it seems!

PEH and Stephens both excellent, and for me I’d prefer to see PEH starting ahead of SD on current form. Boufal ahead of the very frustrating Redmond as well please.

Maya was also excellent today and VVD usual high standard. Lacazette will have hated being up against him.

For those of you (me included) frustrated Gabbi wasn’t on earlier - he was on the sideline waiting to come on for OVER SIX MINUTES before the ref deemed he might just let us make the sub.

 

We didn't lose, just squandered two points.

 

The only stoppage in that time was the free kick and we opted against making the change when we were defending a set piece.

 

Two free kicks and a throw in actually.

Thought Jack Stephens was outstanding today, that was great to see after so long out the team.

Also, the real Fraser Forster is coming back I feel.

 

One other thing you may not have picked up on tv - Gabbi was genuinely hurt by Wilshere’s challenge and was hobbling a lot afterwards (though not as much as Ramsay). If he is to play on Wednesday to give Charlie a rest, I’d be pleasantly surprised.

 

We held a lead for about 85 minutes. Horrible to get knocked back like that right at the end.

Still a good point at the end of the day though.

 

Really really good game, the team worked hard. Arse were not terrible, they actually played well and could have won 3-1 after that 2nd half. We came out of the blocks like lightening and they hate to be hurried.

Stephens was great coming into the side straight away, houylgjoyrrberrrge was great again, Austin was superb. Redmond was crap.

 

That has to be the most ineffective game Sanchez has had in all his time in England. Credit to us for that.

 

Played very well at Bournemouth last week too.

 

...and you are right, we play better if we don't bump into each other

I thought we were excellent in most areas today.
