Actually the most common complaint the QPR fans around me was that we were so much better at closing down. Those who don’t like Phillips (and Vieira) might want to think about that - though it was also forwards like Alioski who runs as fast to defend as to attack
Nice to sit here relax and be smug with the redult.i must be on fire cos footy was on telly just a bit ago and was told i had missed the leeds game it was on first.
You too could be hilarious if you weren t so repetitive. I read your post about the goal being midfield's fault before I had seen the goal and in a moment of weakness I thought you might have a point. Then I got to ristacs post with the video of the goal and realised it was one of the most idiotic things I had ever read. But you re right I won t take you on in any kind of debate on here. I have neither the time, energy nor inclination. After all, to paraphrase roger waters, its not easy banging your head against some mad buggers wall
Most who don't like Philips and Vieira have never seen them play, same with Alioski, show me a season ticket holder who complains about them, sure they are still learning, but the mainstay of our team for years to come IMHO.
Bit provocative and unnecessary Mike, this is an open forum for debate, not a closed boxing ring for you two.
To be honest Phillips reminds me of marmite you either like him or you don't I'm afraid he is not the real deal to me lacks concentration in key areas Cibrikki took his chance well and him and Roofe had obviously worked out that move in training I hope to see him again on the right
Agree with this 100% and would also add, I wonder about the Lasogga factor - is it total coincidence that our upturn in form has happened as soon as he has been out of the team? I think he is a better player than some give him credit for but I can tell you that Alioski for one seems to have doubled his work rate since PML hasn’t been in the side.
Philips like Roofe, improved 100% since last season, not the finished artical yet,but he's 22,improves as much again next season and he's Billy Bremner.
Oh dear I agree Apart from Billy Bremner, don’t see that in him at all. Bremner dominated the whole pitch, can’t see Phillips ever being that good
ok a Denis wise then.thought he was way off being good enough last season but one of our most improved players.
to paraphrase roger waters, its not easy banging your head against some mad buggers wall[/QUOTE] Then stop being a coward and attacking me from behind, you got something to say to me or about me, say it to me, I got no problem with those who choose to attack me, but be a man, which you aren't, and confront me. All this "I'm not going to waste my time or energy" is bullshit on your part, and others who use it, it's a back track, a dodge for cover, a defeatist attitude.
