On todays showing i'd have RLC in our team over Cesc or Bakayoko.....City far superior at the moment.
Think harsh on cesc as hes been playing well recently but had a mare today. As much as i dont rate rlc we might b better off. Kante and drinkwater complement each other far better than kante and bakayoko. Would like to see baka just hold as he offers nothing up front
It takes a lot for me to lose interest in a football match in general but in a Chelsea match it doesn't really happen ever. Today though....wow. It SHOULD teach us a lesson though, we got away with it against Newcastle. Can't start that slowly in this league, if they don't score in the first 15 minutes they don't score at all, despite how bad we were today. But tiredness or not, effort is needed. About 60 minutes gone they started a break and somebody got it on the left, maybe Lanzini, we had 9 men behind the ball and he turned back towards his own goal and not one of our players even started running, couldn't believe what i was watching. It was like an attack vs defence training drill, only the attack had never played together before. Up there with the worst games of football i've ever watched.
No surprises here we're just not up to playing two games in a week with the squad we've got - no CL game until late Jan so if we show some interest we can stay in top 4; as for the league that was always going to be a pipe dream that's between the Mancs.
Dreadful display, something is not right at the club atm. No effort no brains no nothing today, it was like they did not want to be there. I would not pay them for that turgid performance it was embarrassing to say the least I have not felt as bad about a Chelsea team since 1978. Hope it turns around very soon.
HIAG has had a sex change, he now wants to be known as. Hoddle Is A Gooner. Please respect his decision and applaud him for his bravery.
All that possession and not a clue what to do with it. Just like it was against Atletico. This was an indicement of our buying and selling policy, as much as a dreadful team display. Worse than Roma in many ways. Contes' 1st choice Team has an "engine room" that never runs on all cylinders, the limitations of our starting back 3 were on show, and our attack was snuffed out by the defence from a near bottom of the table team. Courtois looked OK , not that he had much to do. Azpi is in very poor form and all threat is missing from him. Christensen was exposed more than once, and just doesn't want to cross the half way line. Cahill is back to the plodder of early season. Collectively they were opened up by Antonio whenever he ran at them, and had as much power going forward as a limp lettuce leaf. Kante must be wishing he was somewhere else, Bakayoko needs to be loaned out, he gives us absolutely nothing . Never have I seen a midfielder with less spatial awareness. He never gets in the right space, and never makes himself a part of the attack or defence. Zappa was poor, Alonso ,with a mogodon back 3 behind him, at least tried to get us moving but ran into brick walls trying to find someone from midfield to join in. Moses is the gift that keeps giving, the ball that is, to West Ham. Hazard and Morata got dizzy from running in circles. William obviously wants out and Pedro got little help. Fabregas just looked buggered, no more ,no less. We lack power and "grunt" everywhere except in Morata and Kante, and Hazard is our only weapon. A defender with some attacking ability is needed, a seriously good rampaging, destructive midfielder is crucial, as it has been for 4 years, and players to score or at least worry the goalkeeper is a must. Until we sort this, Conte has to rest key players and trust other fringe players, and especially try and get more creativity into the defence and more power and mongrel into the midfield. A big shake up is overdue.
Spot on Chelsea used to be utter ****ers like Wham, take a look back and remember how ****e you were before slagging off the team and manager that won the league a season ago. Spoilt ****S.
Exactly mate, is there a group of more self entitled fans in the country? I think not. Seem to forget sometimes that they're essentially just Millwall who won the lottery.
