But has he been recently? I’d dispute that he has. He’s lost mobility and a bit of fire I’d say. Seems the red was daft, 2 yellows in a minute but my issue with him isn’t based around that it’s based around the season as a whole where he’s been absolutely dire. I’m not throwing him to the wolves I just think it might be the right moment to step away.
Yeah I get what you're saying but I think he brings, a positive emotional influence off the pit h which we need at the moment. Of course his I fluency is now diminising and and I would not be too suprised if he were sold.
He’s been a great servant but I think it’s time to shuffle away now. Like I said he seems to have lost some heart and that’s always been the main ingredient in him.
Actually enjoyed listening to the game today. Get rid if Bennett and get Marco on every game. He’s a much better co commentator Sounds like an awful “game” for neutral but we played the best and kept them out. Only our second clean sheet of the season but that’s a massive positive to take. Almost feels like a win!!
Can scarcely believe that can be true what with Benitez being a world class manager. It's almost like he's an overrated fraud... but no it can't be.
If this takeover doesn't go through, they'll go down without a fight and Rafa the best manager in the universe, will walk.
If he does he'll probably go to Arsenal or something because where Benitez's career is concerned the rules of logic don't seem to apply.
Benitez is a champions league winner and he is a very good manager. Thick Ashley should have backed him in the Summer, but he did not, hence the present situation. Sod them, today was a good result for us and I see the beginning of the downward spiral. The next month is massive for Coleman and Sunderland
He relegated Newcastle after picking them up when they were out of the relegation places, in 4th bottom. He has a good cv, but he's been very average at Newcastle.
We have more than half of our first team out, and we know the squad is poor and needs a major overhaul. We done the only thing we could do, Vince. We were playing a very talented side that had won 6 on the bounce and scored 9 goals in their last 2 home games. I think that's a tad harsh, mate.
@rooch 3 @Amsterdam Roger Well done for carrying the flag over on their board, you well and truly won that one today. @Dorty made a right tit of himself again
