On my way back from a food event I’m trading at. Saturday night snacks for PISKIE tonight. Got myself some black olive salami and a bit of Cornish biltong, some lovey Yarg and a few bottles of IPA brewed locally down here. <ok>

    ****er.

    Refinement wise.

The red wine jus had all other ingredients in it, so trimmings of the partridge, bacon, parsley, etc.

The sweet onions were finished with ground roast fennel to counter act the sweetness of other elements of the dish.

I could have presented the jus better though I'll give you that.

Looks great that - aside from the cheffy bollocks with the jus - you don't smear jus mate lol

Are you washing that down with Echo Falls though? FFS <doh>

I was being all fancy for a special occasion and the jus had turned into a reduction.

The wine in the background is some cheap crap from Lidl and no I wasn't drinking it. Mrs luv will drink anything that's says red wine on the bottle. I tried some and it wasn't terrible though just too much blackcurrant (bit like Ribena) I've had quite expensive new world wines that taste like it. £3.19 a bottle in Lidl Chilean Cab Sav.

About to set off home and will buy a pasty in the filling station on the link road.

They are delicious. It's in Devon but I think they're Cornish pasties. **** knows, tastes good is all I'm arsed about.
