Yeah true - they don't even think it through. They try putting 2 and 2 together and come up with about 6000.

Perhaps I was just over-generalising a touch. But he has never looked nervous or short on confidence. I guess you can't be coming into a team at 18 and saving a penalty on your debut! I suppose its the first thing they may have taught him at United, might not be able to communicate fully but as long as you can communicate with those around you, it is a good start.

I heard that many times. Then there's the claims that Man Utd only won the league because everyone else was poor <doh>

Plenty of people after Ronaldo's 42 goal season were saying that we are a one man team with Ronaldo, how would we cope when he leaves.

Plenty of people after Rooney's 34 goals season were saying that we are a one man team with Rooney, how would we cope without his goals.

They might have been WUMs or just idiots, but there were those that cared to enlighten us with their thoughts along those lines.

I personally thought everyone was poor, even yourselves. I think overall it was a poor quality season, but you done the best, got the most points, so won it fair and square.

Hi, just a question - As his time draws ever nearer to a end unfortunately who do you think will replace fergie and do you think there ever be able to even do half the things he does for that team? ( Getting the passion, commitment, belief into the team etc etc )

How about the claims by some rival fans that the opposition just roll over for Man Utd because Sir Alex is best buddies with their manager <doh>

The people who come out with these ridiculous claims are the ones who then call us sore losers <laugh>

The most qualified is Mourhino, his record speaks for itself. I would like to see a former player who played under Fergie to take over. What makes Man Utd so successful is SAF. He has installed the winning and never say die attitude into every single player that plays here. I'm not sure if someone who is an "outsider" would be able to even partially replicate that. Someone like Solskjaer, currently manager of Molde in Sweden, could be an option. SAF will hand pick his predecessor, so if his ability to produce young talented players, works with coaches I'm sure we'll be all right! <ok>

i believe that when SAF leaves, he won't leave. He's obviously going to have a hand in picking his replacement but he'll probably be slightly more involved. I'd like an ex united player but its a bit too early for most of them (eg. solskjaer, neville etc.) Mourinho is the best qualified coach and i can't see anyone else getting it. Apart from guardiola, who would be a gamble.

Carroll reaks of being a massive panic buy. Newcastle saw Torres leaving and added 20 million to Carrolls price tag.
