We're in a poor run of form atm, and I expect goals will be hard to come by . There should be a decent crowd though, a rarity these days, although hopeful next season under new ownership it will be the norm again. I really hope the CEO doesn't appear on the pitch pre-match, it would stink the place out if she does, but I'm hoping to see some old faces.
got a ticket today, but thinking of bailing... the news that RD isnt backing us (no surprise), lots of injuries and not being willing to put money in RD's pocket is making it seem easier to stay at home and get some xmas bits done
The CEO and the regime are of no importance today. It's about celebrating 25 years since what was practically a miracle took place, and thanking all the people who worked so hard to make that happen. All the window dressing means less than nothing. Even honouring the 1992 players is not that important to me - no disrespect, but they just happened to be the starting XI that day. I will be honouring the fans who made it all possible.
Feels like we are out of sorts lately so I'm not expecting much from this. However, that said, i want a win. We are at home and Portsmouth should by no means be beyond us so anything less than a win will NOT be aceptable. C'mon you reds,
Good first half. Charlton pressing more, but still a bit disjointed up front. Pompey had chances on the break. A decent 0-0 at HT, we are playing a bit better than the last few home games. About 10,000 Charlton fans in, plus 4,000 Pompey. Atmosphere decent by recent standards so far, but Pompey naturally a bit louder.
Pompey starting to dominate in the last 5 minutes. Reeves might come on for Clarke, who is out of form
Very poor. Seems out squad depth managed to get us to November and now the fears are becoming a reality.
I think we are missing Fosu badly, he created & scored a lot for us in the early part of the season, and we seem to badly miss his creative spark. With our chances of promotion predictably fading by the week, there is a 0% chance of Duchatelet investing in the squad in January. Far more realistic is Holmes, Fosu and Konsa going out the door.
Charlton did not really improve in the second half. Conceding the goal early shook us a bit. When Amos saved the penalty I thought that was the turning point, and for the next ten minutes we applied lots of pressure and the fans were really animated. But in the end our weaknesses cost us. Magennis being so off form and Fosu not on the pitch were big factors I think. We could just not fashion an equaliser, and Pompey played out the game well enough to take all the points. Credit to Ricky Holmes and Mark Marshall, they did what they could.
Robinson’s fat arse will be gone soon if this form continues. He simply hasn’t delivered. Look at Wigan and Blackburn’s form.
ended up going. what a waste of a day. before anyone says anything about bumper crowd and atmosphere... remember we used to be like that every week pre roland.
