It's nice of Mr Gove to admit that democracy wasn't restricted to 23 June 2016 and has said if British people "dislike the arrangement", they can change it. So obviously he's admitting that we can change it to a harder or softer or indeed reversal of Brexit. Thanks Mr G.

In the meantime interesting analysis of what Mrs May signed up to: https://www.irishtimes.com/opinion/...k-from-the-madness-of-a-hard-brexit-1.3320096

I imagine that in the end the truth will be continuing the compromise of trying to please both sides but failing to please both sides so officially we will be leaving the EU unofficially we will have a lengthy transition deal (much like the bill which the EU was happy to give to Theresa May as headlined under 40 billion but in reality will be more than that). I'm guessing the headline will be it will be for a strict 2 years but will last much longer. Until eventually there's a more definitive shift in public opinion either way.

The fun bit will be a seeing if the cabinet can even vaguely agree on what they want our final leaving position to be before trade talks and if the hard Brexiteers will hit the self destruct button and force a leadership challenge/general election with the compromises ahead.

Not yet. This agreement is only to advance to the next stage of talks. So will be discussed in parliament but doesn't need to be voted on (this is what taking back control looks like).

As is currently proposed MP's will only get a vote on the final deal, as they keep saying nothings agreed until everything's agreed. Technically David Davis admitted that could mean the deal is enacted and then the MPs won't get a vote until after it's enacted. But all this is being currently debated and amended and decided in the withdrawal bill.

He must be very wise indeed. The greatest sin of all is not to learn from the learned.

Tell that to the Brexiteers Nigel Farage and Michael Gove, they're the ones who are saying voters should get another chance.

Of course you can have another vote, say 10 years or so,if you want to rejoin the EU and if there's enough support,go for it.And if we lose we will accept it like men and won't cry about it like you guys.<laugh>
