Arf. Amazing what a good coach can do in a few days. Nige was constantly making small adjustments to players positions etc throughout the game as was his assistant. Long way to go but anyone who went today could see a different team mentality to previously. Onwards and upwards.
Noticed how animated Adkins and Crosby were, unlike Sluts who just strode around like an expectant father in a maternity ward. Adkins would come to the technical area, then retreat for Crosby to take over barking instructions and telling the players were they had to be...Encouraging, but a long way to go. Not sure why we still continue to play one up top at home. When Toral came on and linked up with Campbell, then Dicko we looked like a different team.
Toral looked superb, was always finding space to receive the ball, and as I said in another post...that superb pass for Irvine to score what turned out to be the winner. I just hope we see more of him now, because he's what we've lacked for ages in AM.
