Don’t beat yourself up about it. One of two things will happen. Either his dof idea will bear fruit over next couple of seasons and he’ll be a hero and I’ll be happy as any Leeds fan. Other possibility is he’ll realise his approach will not work. He’ll then have some serious financial decisions to make. At that point fans will start losing patience and attendances will reflect that. Either way, all we can do as fans is wait and hope as usual
Indeed we will and thats the trouble.looking at our away fans the age gap is growing.the majority are like Napoleons old guard at Waterloo they still stand and be counted but we are creaking with age.just like the west stand which has had half a new roof.
Perhaps after sinking £100m in to acquire those assets he's entitled to take stock, and any right-minded appreciative fan might be inclined to cut him a bit of slack?
Except he didn’t take stock. A load of last years gone and replaced with a **** load of players who never saw a championship game let alone play in one. Five quality signings makes far better business sense than 15 hopefuls with two or three working out. There’s about nine of those signings that rarely or never play, that’s a hell of a waste of resources. Likely 3m a year in salaries plus the cost of getting rid in January
I agree, he's learning by trial and error, which he's earned the right to do by getting us to this position in the first place - in my opinion. Just don't get the antipathy toward him.
On Radz lack of expierence just want to throw this out there: Clever businessmen dont do deals that potentially make them look stupid. Radz is regarded as one of the best sports media men in the world He spent a lot of time with Kenny Dagliesh before he took the plunge with Cellino Sat upstairs for 6 months last season watching Cellinos mistakes and seeing what needs doing Hasnt done too bad so far has he, except would like to see the success rate of Orta's signings improve. WJ just on the war chest point, you forget to factor in the deal Radz did on getting the catering contract binned, and bringing it back in house. He said doing this would add another 7 to 8 million in profit every year
Agree unless of course you are just anti anything to do with Leeds - this has to be considered as a possible motivation in some postings
Not antipathy in my case. I don’t like his transfer policy so far. Others do. It’s all about opinions Davy. Just doesn’t feel much different to other seasons to me so far. But who knows, a few Wins in the spin and a couple of quality January signings and we could be sitting pretty
Eire I think you are right the blanket approach to signings in summer probably wasn't the best but we really had a thread bare squad with no depth at all. You could rightly say some of the signings haven't added much but... If we get a couple of good signing in Jan, which will be a big IF we should be ok for a top 6 push. If we are still here next year then 3-4 targetted summer signings will build the team to a potenial auto squad. imho.
