Same as anything in life if you don't try you don't know, bit more of a physical presence further up the pitch never goes a miss and he can score a goal a la Bolton
Phillips doesn't have to be a striker to score goals. Billy almost scored a hundred goals for Leeds during his career.

Young centre-back is one of the targets. Time for plans to change though and league table could influence things.
As I suggested a while back, looks like there's a reluctance to pay over the odds in January - hope it doesn't backfire come June, there ain't too many Saizes in a bag of Dolly Mixtures.
What amuses me is all the talk of the famous war chest. Going up from 20 to 25million if rose is sold. I’ll bet we don’t spend that over next two seasons. The excuse of a reluctance not to pay over the odds was originally used during the Bates reign and carried on during the next couple of washout owners. Nothing wrong with paying over the odds if you’re getting the required quality
Thing is Eire, all the war chest talk has been from the fans, not the club, and Radz is shrewd if anything. I get the feeling he isn't reluctant to spend but isn't sure if he needs to in the next window, and has his eye on building for the long term in any case - whether we go up this year or next or the one after, not sure it's so critical at board level. That would help explain sticking with TC through an awful run. For me, I think we can compete with the best on our day - maybe excluding Wolves - and a standout defender would see us close to being playoff candidates. To go a step further we'll need to splash the cash, but it won't be in January.
Rad said himself, outside the top six this season will be failure and would look at selling the club on if he didn’t win promotion within four years. He’d better get used to spending if he wants to achieve any of the above. Likely five quality additions neede for to make us a top two squad. Two strikers, centre half, midfield general and a goalkeeper. So he either signs proven players for those position, costing likely a fair few bucks or sign another 15 foreigners and hope a few click
Think when he made the top 6 comment he had no idea of the cauldron the Championship would be. Largely agree with your top 2 squad assessment - for me it starts with the Centre Half, but he needs to be head and shoulders better than Cooper or there's no point.
I’m kind of pissed off Davy to see the January transfer window possibly heading same way as previous ones. Hopefully I’ll be proven wrong
Only the idiots and deluded think radelino is going to spend mor than 20% of what he makes from transfers.
Yeah, I can tell mate - even more than you, I'm running out of years to see us back to former glories. I'd be delighted to see us consolidate constructively in January, achieve promotion by whatever means and keep Saiz in the summer, but I'm just dubious that significant expenditure is on the cards. We'll see.
