If we had him last season,he could well have been the difference in picking up the few extra points needed for playoffs. Still, great to have him now, hope he keeps up form he showed yesterday

looks like he will make a difference along with two better full backs we should have a better back 4/5 at last

He's reliable. Kasper would have a great game, then make a mistake. So far he seems like he'll be consistent and does have great shotstopping as well as good positioning and catching. Quality signing.

Kasper was as good as Lonergan has been at the start of last season. For all we know, Lonergan's all-round game will run its course just as Schmeichel's did. So I think a lot of this hype is premature and if he'd been there last season, there's no way of knowing whether it would have improved our results. We've only seen him play a few games!

    Two very different keepers

Kasper.... erratic, poor in the air, bad communicator, lack of experience and will loose you some games - amazing shop stopper and potiential match winner
Lonergan..... not a amazing shot stopper ......... safe pair of hands, experienced, commanding and will save you more points than he will cost you...

as the seaosn run it will be interesting to take another look at what we all think...

After three games...Lonergan just edges it for me...but only just

I'd love to know what all these mistakes and bad games that Kasper had were.

Stop demonising him. He did well for us, he moved on, another keeper has come in and is looking good.

If any players could have been the difference for us last season then it's Clayton, White and Nunez.

QPR's goal on the last day of the season? All 3 goals at Millwall? Being woefully out of position for both of Watford's goals at ER? Cardiff's 1st at ER?

Palace away, the crucial game that ended our promotion hopes.

also i believe the four you mentioned are the players they are because they got game time with other clubs last season...
Nunez maybe the only one who should have been given a go...but we dont see them on a day to day basis like the coaching staff do so not sure we can comment as Nunez hasd about 10 mins v Cardiff.....

Can't blame that on Kasper,we were woeful at Palace. Bad team selection,Snoddy clearly played when injured due to lack of squad rotation,Livermore anonymous,Paynter poor,Somma left on bench till last 15 minutes when we were crying out for a goal,Bannan inexplicably left on bench & not used.
Not one of Grayson's better days,a poor poor day all round.

I blame him for the goal we conceded. A point would have kept us in it, and if we'd have kept it at 0-0, the players would have been well up for it instead of the wind being knocked out of their sails so early on. Killed off the atmosphere too, that goal from Danns.

Regardless - his attitude was awful. It was clear none of the other players respected him.

I agree it killed the atmosphere,we were unbelievably quiet by our standards,in a state of shock I guess.
    Anyway,I don't like thinking about it...its depressing!
