Do you live in a castle? Or are you lighting and heating the whole street?

I have electric only, no gas. It keeps fluctuating despite an ongoing payment olan, but it's never been over £100 pcm. And there's 2 of us living here.

Yeah, I've done it for years mate. I've got an amazing set-up now, I'd be gobsmacked if I don't grow the best weed in the North East. Not used to paying for electric though <whistle>

I live in Durham, mate. It has gone the same way as Amsterdam, it is still illegal, but it's now tolerated by the police. They released a statement to say they were no longer pursuing people who smoked cannabis, or people who were growing for personal use. If they get information that you've filled a house with 100 plants, then that's clear not personal so they'd still go after you. Durham constabulary are leading the campaign to have cannabis legalised in this country.

They picked me up on a warrant in either April or May, this year. I didn't bother going to court and they came and got me at 1am. I answered the door to them and they came in the house, I had a joint burning away next to my cup of coffee. All they said is 'smells nice in here', the copper told me it was his last job and I wasn't going anywhere for a while, so take my time getting my stuff together, there was no rush. They just stood watching the TV and I took a further three tokes while sipping my coffee. In the end, I got ****ing uncomfortable and put the joint out. Got my coat and shoes, and left with them.

Wasn't that a few years ago now when the Durham popo said that? Good on them if what you say is true, I remember when they trialled lowering weed to class c in London a few years back now, people just took the piss tbh lol so it didn't last long.

Coppers in London generally don't give a **** about weed, most have said as much to me when I've been caught, they know most of their time is taken up by drunk people being dicks, but they have to do what the law says.

What's the rent prices like where you are? Asking for a friend<laugh>:afro:

Cheap as chips, mate. I'm from Newcastle, lived there all of my life but moved to Durham a few years ago for some reason <whistle>

I was renting for 6 months when I first moved here while I sussed out the area. I had a 2 bed house, with garage and was paying £400 per month.

I've no reason to make any of this up.
