QPR's Alex Baptiste has opened up on the difficulties of forging a makeshift QPR defence, saying the team are 'down to the bare bones'. The defender was sent off after the final whistle in the Hoops defeat to Preston on Saturday, making Ian Holloway's selection dilemma even worse as he scrambles to select a fit side for Saturday's clash with Leeds. Speaking to GetWestLondon, he said: "When I first came we were doing really well and I was looking to see how I was going to get in, but it’s a squad game. "We’ve had a lot of injuries at the back and we’re down to the bare bones at the minute, but people are coming back now and hopefully when they are back I can play well enough to keep my place in the team. “The defence has done alright. Obviously you look back and there’s games and goals where we think we can do better but I think we’ve held our own. "It’s hard because we don’t really know each other as players. There’s a lot of players who have been here for a long time and know how each other play, but we’ve been kind of thrown into things to see how we deal with it. "We’ve done okay but there’s always room for improvement and that’s what we’re going to try and do."
Good Morning to Matt and co from a very dark Bardsey It would be good to see if Antonsson is ready to resume his career at Leeds I have always liked the lad .Very unassuming and I would imagine a really nice person but I doubt he will be recalled before next season Joe Brayan and George Hirst have both been mentioned today on new now so there is no smoke without fire Brayan because he his having a terrific season again and with money flowing in from the sale of Danny rose we can afford him so lets do it! Hirst apparently he wants to leave Wed will he fancy Leeds I hope so I know I have a lot of critics over my view on Gregory so it wouldn't surprise me if he went to Sheff U Wilder likes an Aldi bargain and he must have been very impressed with him last Sat

Morning all, I think we will see what happens next month as there will be loads of rumour and gossip. I’ve seen us linked with Italians, Liberians, Dutch, Germans & Spaniards as well as every decent player in the UK. Everyone knows we have cash, but expect deals & negotiations already happening in silence. One thing is worth talking about and thats Antonnson. He has now scored 8 in 14 and the season before we got him he scored 16 in 25 so besides his time at Leeds he is a deffo goals scorer. More prolific than anyone we’ve had in years, but yes at lower league, but he has an eye for goal. Tommy gave him every chance in the Summer but he failed to grab it. But you must have noticed that he was on the end of everything, he created countless chances each game but low in confidence after Monk. Sign of a striker is being in the right place, he was more than anyone. Worth a punt for me
NN is little more than a gossip column, would take everything on there with a pinch of salt. But they are actually linking us to Josh Brownhill, Joe Bryan is only talked about as one of their better players they should sign.

Leeds United commence talks to sign 23 year old Tobias Figueiredo, €3-4m, transfer looks close Leeds United have reportedly started contacts for the signing of Sporting CP central defender Tobias Figueiredo. As reported by Portuguese newspaper A Bola today, the clubs are currently talking, and a deal could be done for between €3m and €4m. Recently back from a loan spell at Nacional, the 23-year-old has been finding it hard to conquer a spot in Sporting’s team, having made only three appearances this season. It seems Leeds United have no big competition in this race, as A Bola claims the Championship club are the only ones who have made formal contact for the defender. please log in to view this image
