Paisley for sure, it'll take away the prestige of the title if any of the other 4 cesspits win it.

Paisley too. Unbeknownst why , I have a feeling the name Paisley in Print was once & could be again relatively fashionable.

    Hopefully not Swansea.

Accept it, you lost last time. move on.

Me saying all this means they are likely to win now.

    It will be Swansea

    FACT

(None of them can hold a candle up to Hull though.)

To be honest, I don’t give a **** who is next.

I honestly believe that Hull will be seen as the leading Cultural destination for quite a long while.
CoC has been a lightbulb moment for many and looking from the outside in, it is easy to see that the legacy will continue. Perhaps not with events every day, but high quality sustainable projects that enrich the area.

Maybe theres theme to winning it... your football club has to be run by a certain type of person....

Spot on, I actually believe we've done so well, we should be up for European City of Culture next.

Interesting to note places such as York, Chester, Oxford, Bath etc don't seem to be in the running. <confused>

I think Coventry have a need similar to the one we had ie something to kick start the city after years of neglect and a change of perception. They just feel more cultural than some of the other cities in the running.

Suspect it may go out of England though for a bit of variety.

Cov for me though. Been a few times over the years and always thought it felt a bit like Hull.

I'm looking forward to visiting the real CoC in Southend.

The real culture vultures cos Tom Daley stayed there for a bit
