    Everton have announced there will be no season ticket price increase if they are relegated and are offering fans the chance to "lock in" their seat for years to come

    British managers:

    Recent complaints in some quarters than the very big clubs are not employing British managers and that all the top jobs are going to foreign ones. The British ones are left with fire fighting survival jobs like wba, palace West Ham. A job like Everton is considered a big one but wouldn't have gone to Big Sam were the club not in danger of relegation!

    Moyes has caused a lot of damage to the cause of Brit managers by fluffing the mancs job. I remember at the time of his appointment that he was seen as blazing a trail for his Brit counterparts. It cannot be coincidence that since his sacking no brit had been employed by a big club.

    You misunderstood. It wasn't about management. I had no doubt they'd win the EL game given it now doesn't matter <laugh> It is against the spirit of the competition to field a weak side but that's neither here nor there either.

    I was talking about keeping the first team back [and himself] to practise for Sunday. <ok>
