Life After Leonid (Adkins appointed)

When Nigel Adkins left Southampton, he had done a great job and the supporters were shocked.

I do suspect that we will have 6 managers in 2 years though.

My expectations for January are not high, we do not have a team, we have a squad and it needs an experienced hand to strengthen and build it back into a match winning team.

 

Yacht upgrade, manager downgrade.

It's one of the best run clubs in the country you know.

So the rumours were true and Ehab had already got Adkins in place whilst Slutsky was still in the job.

I'd guess it's a 'keep us up with what we've got and we'll talk again in the summer' deal. In other words little or no money to be spent January.

No different to what's happened at most clubs at one time or another

 

I actually think that Adkins comes out worse in that.

It's sensible business for Ehab to have a replacement manager lined up rather than going into the busiest period with no manager, one coach and a goalkeeping coach.

Adkins on the otherhand was happy to attend our games watching like a vulture for one of his peers to be fired.

Morality aside though, I'm pleased with Adkins as manager.

 

Head Coach = no influence over who we sell or who we sign.......

Best of luck to him. I think he'll need it with this squad.

 

It’s just research before accepting a new role.

This is one instance where it’s been handled ok.

Now we see just how good our players are.
