Very poor from Liverpool tonight. They only won 7-0!! They will win the CL again before landing the PL. I feel Klopp will target this trophy and it is their DNA to win it. Hope Manchester United get someone like Real or Bayern and get utterly stuffed.
and I'm sure he'll still be singing our praises. Love him to bits. Edit: Very few gents around these days. Him & Rickie, magic.
http://www.thefa.com/news/2017/dec/...a-euro-2020-brussels-sadiq-khan-london-071217 Wembley has been selected to host another 4 games (as well as the semi-finals and final) of Euro 2020.
What a pity they are not using The Emirates or Tottenham's new ground instead. Equally deserving of hosting major events!! Everything is so Wembley centric. From a personal point of view, I would never had had the stadium erected. We could have continued to use Cardiff as a venue for Cup Finals, and used the excellent grounds of our top clubs, for international matches and for tournaments.
Some will like this... Brighton v Palace in the FA Cup will be used as a trial for VAR. Seemingly first time in over ten years that a United FA Cup game won't be shown live.
Poor choice of match to trial out the VAR imo, though I'm not keen anyway, as it will be a powder keg atmosphere as it is. For some reason it's an evening game too
Well done Athletic Bilbao, they were well behind the second placed team in Group J of the Europa League but have managed to get their act together and even topped the group after a tricky trip to the Ukraine to win 2-0. There are so many likeable teams in the Europa League to admire going forward, the three La Liga teams that have qualified for the Round of 32, Arsenal and Celtic, the Italian contingent. Unlike last season where I thought Manchester United were nailed on winners, this season looks very open.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42253361 Everton manage to get a 3-0 win in their last Europa game. Their fans must be getting a bit more positivity about the season now.
Yeah I'd be surprised if they didn't finish with the coveted "Best of the Rest" trophy now, far better side than anyone else outside the top 6 in my view
Especially after seeing how Lookman fired in his second. It honestly made Tony Yeboah's strike look a wee bit tame! An absolute rocket!
So we're playing Chelski in the Checktrade trophy. What a joke, Chelski should be nowhere near this tournament. Congrats on ruining several League 1 and League 2 clubs chances of playing at Wembley, you greedy, entitled, self-centred bastards. Sure they knocked out Franchise FC but at least they're a side that's mean to be in the tournament and I'd rather see them win it than Chelski's reserves.
The EPL didn't barge into this competition...they were invited. There must be something in it for the lower leagues or they wouldn't have done it again this season.
