Friday night football here from Niort v Chateauroux. I swear that Niort must have some basketball players in their attack as it is made up with players of the Ross Jenkins statue. The Chats have some defenders 6'.1" or so, but their attackers are towering over them.
Holloway in rant mode after QPR's game against Brentford when they nicked a late point with 2 injury time goals. Calling out the fans who left early.. http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/11147206/fans-went-home-too-early
Big Sam in at Everton and Pardew in at WBA. Talk about a managerial roundabout! Pulis at Swansea soon?
Are the wheels starting to come off the Huddersfield wagon? They started off so well, but have been slowly sinking towards the wrong end of the table, and the loss tonight must knock their confidence.
I've just seen that Brora Rangers beat Fort William 16-0 in the Highland League. Apparently it's a 6 hour round trip for Fort William.
Not for much longer possibly - there's a move afoot to have them drop back to a local league. Apart from playing in the shadow of Ben Nevis, they've got nothing going for them.
Six hour round trip has nothing on this for Caley Thistle: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42120064
http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...manager-six-months-a8089906.html?S2ref=641648 I think we dodged a bullet there - Hull sack Slutsky...
Has Mark Clattenburg got a book coming out? First claiming that he lost Spurs the title and now basically admitted big name players used to influence him. http://www.skysports.com/football/n...ce=t.co&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=Direct
Nothing on Wellingron Phoenix v Perth Glory in the A League. That is 5250 km as the grow flies, longer without direct flight connexions. In the Russian Premier League the distance from Khabarovsk to Tosno is 8862km. The nearest away game for Khabarovsk is 7023km.
I appreciate that teams in certain leagues have longer trips than Caley did, but I was making a comparison within the same country.
