<ok> somebody else who’s been there.

I was astonished to find that place inhabited ! They reminded me of the doozers from fragile rock, albeit made of fractals.

My cousin and I got caught in an undertow current whilst surfing at Fistral beach, Newquay, back in the '70s ... we were in our teens... water was about neck high but as we tried to walk back to shore the undertow was so strong that we were getting pulled under and out to sea ... was scary as fcuk and we were both starting to get a little worried (to say the least <yikes>) ... some real old surfer dude saw us and paddled out on his board... he was shouting "lift your legs and swim lads" ... sure enough, once we did, we were above the undertow which must have only been that strong for the bottom couple of feet .... swam back to shore but gave up the surfing for the rest of the day <laugh>

Same cousin fell all the way down Kynance Cove in Cornwall when he was about 6 ... everybody who saw it thought he was dead but he must have bounced all the way down... escaped with extensive bruising and needed stitches from his hair line to the bridge of his nose ... had the Harry Potter look way before JK Rowling wrote the book .... hmmm ...is it too late to sue her?

As for me ... looks like I had one recently, although I was very much oblivious to it <laugh> ... got discharged by the Cardiologist last week ... as I was waiting for him to finish another appointment, one of the Registrars was going through the admin stuff with me and looking at the pictures from my angiogram and aborted stent op on his monitor ... he kept shaking his head, whistling softly, and then turning to look at me and back to the monitor. He said "you are one very lucky man ... " appears it would have only been a matter of time before I had a 'major heart incident' if the doctor where I used to work hadn't referred me as a precaution. Had 4 blockages (hence the quadruple by-pass) and any of them could have done for me <yikes> .... now been told I should be good for another 25 years ('normal' life expectancy) as long as I follow medical advice and take the daily meds ... walked out of there not quite knowing how to feel <cheers>

Near death: on the motorway my car got hit by a lorry in my driver side door, pushed me down the road a bit and then flung my car out the other side into oncoming traffic. I remember thinking of every possible action I could take to try and deal with the situation, with each thought happening consciously at the same time within the space of about a second, like my brain had gone into overdrive. And then total acceptance of the situation. No fear, no worry, just acceptance that I was about to die and couldn't do a thing about it. It was really peaceful and something quite amazing about how clear my mind was.

Out of body: Hawaiian baby woodrose seeds - used by shaman to talk to god. An incredible feeling of being awake and dreaming at the same time. The most intense experience with psychedelics I've had.

I was a passenger in a car, the driver went to overtake doing about 50ish hit a concrete stand that was supposed to have one of those white and orange boxes on it rolled the car woke up in hospital with minor injuries. Went to look at the car in the garage it was taken to, roof was flat back axle in the front a right mess no idea how I avoided that one.

Essentially the same thing but a drink and a slow releasing longer lasting buzz.

Compared to a break through on DMT which is like blasting through space.

I should've died a few times, but didn't. never had an NDE, but, like fosse, I got caught in a nasty under-tow in Spain. Really thought I was going to drown and my life started flashing before my eyes. I think the 'life flashing before you' is the brain searching it's hard-drive for a way to escape, a swimming lesson I'd had as a child flashed up, 'if you're in trouble swim on your back'.

I'd never touch the stuff, had a friend who did it and was never the same again, killed himself not long after, really sad.

I've had similar experiences breaking through on aya, just lasts a bit longer!

The initial entry into hyperspace on DMT is more sudden, but aya is deeper and more intense, for me

That is sad to hear mate. It's not for everyone and can completely **** up even the most headstrong.

I'm glad I have though personally, best experience of my life bar my son being born without doubt.

I'm guessing you don't have the battle with your ego that you have to release from with aya either.

They are called rip tides and are basically the water trying to find its back out to sea from the beach. The water will find the deeper channels to flow back out and the bigger the waves the more water that needs to flow back out, hence the stronger the rip.

Lots of people drown each year because they get caught in rip tides and panic. You then use up your oxygen and eventually inhale water into your lungs and drown.

I help to guide people out of rips dozens of times each year down here. Basically you just need to swim or paddle across the Rip and into where the waves are breaking. It’s kind of counter intuitive because your natural reaction is to try and paddle for shore, but you are never going to outswim a rip.
