Aren’t pork steaks just...fat slices of pork? I’m confused why everyone’s confused ? We often have pork steaks
I don' normally eat Pork I find it a bit dry. Any tips from anybody that would change this would be welcome.
Best thing to do with pork, particularly on a bbq is to let it rest, wrapped in foil, before you eat it Brings out all your juices...lovely and moist
When she said “we’re” I’m sure she meant “I’m” “We’re” sat here now & “we’re” writing Christmas cards, if you know what I mean.
My oldest is having her first (and only at 43) brought forward to a pre-xmas managed caesarean, a boy. She never thought it would happen, then one very confident consultant came along with a game changer - everything looking good and can't wait for this Christmas Box... ...the medical support, from three different hospitals, is simply amazing and flies in the face of so much negativity.
Give em a good beating with a mallet, breadcrumb and fry, cover with mushroom sauce and enjoy a lovely Jagerschnitzel or use peppers for an excellent Zigeunerschnitzel - must be accompanied by a good German bier.
I haven't been able to find gooseberries for 2-3 years now, or it would also be part of the Christmas table. A pork steak is a 3/4" to 1" cut of the pork shoulder, grilled and slathered in bbq sauce. Yummy goodness. I am definitely going to have to try a pork pie sometime. I don't recall seeing that on the menu of English food restaurants over here. One always finds staples such as steak & kidney pie, shepherds pie, bangers & mash, but no pork pie. I wish to make a complaint.
A pork pie isn't a meal like a normal pie. It's usually part of a wider spread of delights, so I don't suppose you would see it much in restaurants.
You don't see pork pie in restaurants in UK either! Sometimes it'll be on a pub lunch menu with cheese and pickles but mostly you buy them, preferably from a good butcher/deli, and take them home.
It's really only traditional at Christmas, as people like to have one in the fridge so they can chop a slice off when they're hungry and are too pissed to cook anything.
