I can take the bad interviews, as long as they're not as bad as NP's. Jesus, remember that fruit cake?
Bruce unravelled just like Sunderland fans told us it would. Great at first, but then will spunk your money and it'll go tits up (maybe not verbatim). Adkins will be announced shortly. -> "A lot has been written about him been good at galvanising a team, building confidence, and building a team on a budget." I agree. Decent appointment in the circumstances. As much as I liked Slutz, it will be good that the focus will be now off the manager (Slutz) and back onto football ...and of course the 2 t.wats running, sorry, ruining the club. And in terms of his interviews, I expect he'll bring a needed dose of positivity, and put the focus back on the football.
I will support any manager that takes on this restricted job! These are just a few things that got mentioned and it didn’t fill me with much hope. Kind of like what we have seen happen before with previous mangers.
24 hour contract? So a job for life then and we're stuck with him forever, like it feels we are with ALLAMS OUT!!!!
I think we've established that he had a **** time with the Blunts. But I think it's largely irrelevant, as for every one of those posts, there's another couple of dozen from Scunny and Saints fans saying the opposite. The reality is, during his managerial career, he has a win ratio of 44%, which is way better than most managers. It's better than Steve Bruce, it's better than Nigel Pearson and it's better than Phil Brown.
I actually didn't mind his interviews on Humberside. He always sounded honest in his evaluation of Scunny's performance.
I understand that I was just basing it off where he was last and what his tactics and their opinions of his tactics. I don’t want to be in the position anymore than you or anyone else. No one wants to go down. Not all of them are actually blades fans either tbh
I'd be happy with Nigel Adkins did well at Scunthorpe & Southampton everyone struggled at Sheff Utd prior to Chris Wilder in the last decade and before the extra money was pumped in.
