I think it's more likely to be Adkins(if it is him) legal team going over the terms of the contract he's been offered, agree with you regards some dialogue having taken place with him before Slutsky departure, but i doubt he got anything in writing till that happen.
It's all agreed, it was on Sunday hence the trigger being pulled, deal is with Adkins legal team ATM, I think it will be announced either late today or early tomorrow
It was verbally agreed Sunday, contracts then had to be drawn up, looked over and signed etc...this couldn't be done until after the deal for slut to go was finalised and signed off. A realistic time frame was always going to be midweek
Maybe he was offered a 24 hour contract and dismissed it without realising just how long 24 hours at the KCom is.
Just asked blades fans r.e. Adkins and it isn’t positive feedback guys bad times ahead if he comes I think.
It doesn't always follow that he would do a bad job for us, because his tenure at the Blunts didn't do well. Probably didn't get the support he needed from the board. Oh just a minute......
Almost every manager has had a bad record at one club or other. Almost as if it isn't completely black and white what a good manager is...
Don't go by what fans of previous clubs say. Bruce did alright for us but Sunderland fans hated him Taylor also did alright and Leicester fans hated him
Ask saints fans and it's completely different.....why not take the positive saints fans over the negative blades fans?
My mate saw Leonid on Sunday night in a restaurant in town. Got a picture with him and said he was as happy and affable as you'd expect.
Adkins had a crap time with the Blunts, but he's done well in his previous jobs, I have no issue with his ability, he's just annoying in interviews.
Worse than been fourth from bottom? If he was a perfect then he would be in work and not coming to us. A lot has been written about him been good at galvanising a team, building confidence, and building a team on a budget. Decent appointment in my opinion
This It took Alex Ferguson 5 years to achieve anything at Man U. 5 years, imagine a manager being given that much time today. But look what happened... We can't just look at Adkins failures whilst ignoring his successes.
