Really worried about my friends in Ojai and Ventura, California. They have some horrendous wildfires and my friend just sent me this pic from her house

Looks mad....I saw some wild fires in Spain about 3 years ago....quite a scene...hope everyone is safe

 

Real bad scene out there at the moment. I spoke to my friend earlier and she said she was down in Oxnard, but she's gone back up to Ojai to check on her house !

I'm really worried about her as she seems intent on sitting it out and she lives in a canyon, so there's only one way in and out. Those flames in her pic look way too close for comfort.

 

Yes mate....looks like that one road is way out and way in? A lot of dry greenery surrounding it, it seems. People are like that...won't abandon their homes...but I remember them people getting caught up in that wildfire in Portugal a few years back.

Yep this year in Portugal, people burnt alive in their cars, trying to escape, horrendous. That pic above is in a place called Casitas Springs (home of Johnny cash) where my friends live and I go and stay when I'm out there. There is one road in and out and it's flanked by hills on either side, which are both alight.

It's been a really dry year in California and they've already had some bad wildfires this year. I know my friend is worried about her house, but there's **** all she can do about it really, I just want her to get out now.

 

Okay, so just heard from my friend. She's staying with her sister in Camarillo.

 

Sensible,

Nobody wants to lose their house, but if the fire comes there ain’t **** all you can do anyhow. No point in you burning with it!...

My friend in Casitas Springs in California just sent me this pic. She was evacuated yesterday and just got back to her house today. Close call, several houses down the Canyon to her were burned down.

On overground to work, it's been eventful, I've got some transgender dyke bird dressed as a 15yr old roadman, which is funny all by itself, she/he is talking about being taken to court for assaulting the "love of her/his life, Lauren"

Bought another coke can ashtray from the homeless guy I see on here everyday.

And down the carriage there's a chap with a guitar, beard and a beeniehat, (shoreditch hipster lvl 100) telling some bird to stop shouting at him .. all while he's shouting at her about how she doenst live him enough.

Hate people who talk inappropriate **** on transport, **** off
