I’ve never understood how he continues to get work as a pundit as he brings nothing to the table. No charisma, no insight, his fishing attempts are poor... possibly the most useless pundit.

But he did score the last minute '96 play-off final winner for Leicester v palice.
He always has had my respect for that.

I would give that accolade jointly to Ian Wright (incoherent) and Danny Murphy (for being a knob)

I like Ian Wright - he has charm, and understands the passion of the game.

    Fair point re Murphy.

Last season I was at Euston on a Saturday morning waiting to catch a train to an away game. Murphy was standing 10 yards away, dressed head to foot in Versace ? (The brown checks ?) tracksuit with matching “man bag”. He dressed like he was 16. Assume he was waiting to catch a train to Salford for MOTD. A couple of people approached him, he pulled his hood up on his tracksuit & wasn’t having it.

It must be hard being such a megastar.

Ian Wright is one of the few pundits worth listening to. Alan Hansen was the doyen. And Sir Geoffrey at cricket is always an education.

Alan Hansen and G Nev would be my pinnacle.

Ian Wright is entertaining, funny and has tons of passion. He isn’t a regular pundit but that’s where the charm lies IMO.

It would help if Wright spoke intelligible English.
People who speak that way really should never be employed as pundits innit

Roy Keane is a nasty piece of work, but he tells you straight so at least he's value as a pundit.

True story - met Roy Keane whilst he was a pundit on a show, and at the same time the All Saints (as well as Joe Calzaghe) were on another program whilst being shot in the same studio.

As a 19/20 year old, the All Saints we’re treating me like dirt, at 6am in the morning, and RK interfered to not only slam them down, but to ensure my boss knew (by his opinion) I was doing a good job.
