Riddlers is more of a restaurant with a bar than a pub, I don't think people actually stand at the bar as in a pub, but anyway we had a meal there a while back and it got served on a roof slate, it was lovely food and well worth a visit. Drinks are no dearer than any other restaurant, just hope that the bits suck on the ceiling don't fall down lol.

Had a walk down Humber Street today. On the dockside opposite Thieving Harry's there's a black tower. Went to have a look and got waylaid by a volunteer. he strapped some goggles, headphones and backpack on and I was transported for a few minutes into Pepperland. It was bloody good, especially when someone in the tower dropped a metal ball onto a metal plate on the floor. The installation finishes on Sunday. If you haven't been I'd definitely recommend a visit. I've no idea what its called but you can't really miss it if you walk past Green Bricks towards the Humber.

Watched Woody and co play Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust. Superb. Bowie's was amongst the first music I got into. Watching a couple on stage who were a part of that was quite emotional. Glenn Gregory was really good. Only faux pas was running his hand through his hair forgetting he has not had any for many years.
A bit of Bowie trivia, where was Mick Ronsons first ever gig?

No idea where is first gig was, but we used to go to the Duke in Ferriby most Sunday evening and he would be playing upstairs in the concert room.

Came up yesterday to watch Holy Holy perform Ziggy Stardust at City Hall last night. Some great old photos of the RATS projected onto the stage screen. Good night again.

    CoC 2021 announced tomorrow?
Lump on Swansea. Scotland (ECoC), N Ireland, then England, now Wales's turn.
Not a bad choice, but pity for Stoke?

I’ve just been to Stoke to view a couple of properties. I wondered when the announcement would be on the drive back. The place hasn't really been awash with CofC publicity.

I saw a **** “Stoke for City of Culture” sign being used to photograph people under at a photo exhibition a few months back but other than that not much else.

Stokees from work haven’t been too engaged or even aware that they’re in the running despite my constant barrage of Hull CofC stuff.

It cold do with a helping hand, it’s more ****ed than Hull ever was but I doubt they’ll come close to winning the bid.

We've really raised the benchmark this year, difficult to see any of the 2021 CoC nominees surpassing #Hull2017

I heard the people of Paisley are really buying into it like Hull did.

Saw a giant Stoke City of Culture plastic duck in Queens gardens this afternoon. Even got a free plastic duck to keep. Let them know about Malcolm Clarke and the role he played in the campaign to keep the name Hull City.
