Life After Leonid (Adkins appointed)

I remember not to long ago people turning their nose up at sherwood. Now we’d be delighted if he didn’t turn his nose up at us. (I don’t particularly think he’s better than us, he needs to prove himself. He just won’t come near our owners)

 

I'd still turn my nose up at him. He'd be a worse appointment than some of the other donkeys currently listed with the bookies.

Don't think I will come on here or look at the hundreds of fb posts about Hull City until an announcement is made. last thing I read on fb was a link to a Southend paper suggesting Phil Brown is in the frame. So many people throwing names in the hat, arguing about who they want, how about this person or that. All so pointless. Been here too many times lately.

 

And, regardless of who it ends up being, it's all pointless anyway.

 

There’s no doubt in my mind Ehab was trying another appointment like Silva and trying to be clever. Problem is Silva is a forward thinking modern coach and had nothing to loose. Slutsky has everything to loose and got no help what so ever. The right guy at the wrong time I do believe, although after watching the crap Slursky served up I am no convinced at all.

In reality we needed a firefighter type of manager. A Nigel Pearson type because the playing staff has changed so much. The other thing I find weird foreign managers usually bring in foreign players they know of or who have worked with. Slutsky got non descripts from U23 squads, I very much doubt he wanted half of them, maybe only Larsson. I mean he must know a few managing 2-3 years in the Champions League?

Russian players need to pass somewhat stringent rules to get their work visas. None of the Russian players that would have come to us would have played sufficient matches for the Russian national team. Look at the issues he had just getting his assistant over.

 

Musa - I think Leonid was let down big time by Musa - a bit like being blown out at the last minute by the hottest girl at school who you never thought you had a chance with and then she says yes, only to leave you standing outside the disco like a ****ing gimp. No it never happened to me, honest.

 

Full post spot on, but this part especially so. This whole Chelski - Slutski road show has been a joke that became obvious very quickly. There are no quick fixes.

Not really sure about Nigel Adkins but I was quite surprised when Southampton spat him out, he had achieved much and continued to obtain very creditable performances.
