I feel sorry for all the young fans who use to go with parents but can't afford it now . I don't think anyone was sneering just pointing out a lack of younger fans in the photos Which is quite sad really
What's this youth called and where in Asia is he from? Can he play left or right full back? Sign him up.
Kemps, I've ALWAYS got the hump over some sections of our fans who think its acceptable to take the piss out of and sneer at other sections of our fans. It's unnecessary and its not something you can blame on the Allams. It's always been there, the internet just gives some a louder voice, and it's ****ing annoying.
As well as the Allam problem a lot of younger people just don’t have the disposable income of pensioners. I suspect the high grey turnout is indifference/support of the Allams from the older fans in conjunction with financial comfort.
No lighthearted jokes please unless you want a good telling off from herr chazz and commandant happy.
Is that a Hull phenomenon as photos of the followings of other way teams have plenty of younger people. Photographs of them wouldn't show everyone sat down, other fans would have some showing a bit of exuberance. Fair play to those in the photos for going but there should be a broader cross section. To suggest these older fans spend their time and money going because they are financially comfortable and have indifference to or actively support the Allams is patronising bordering on disrespectful.
What limited support there is for the Allams online nowadays, is predominantly from the elderly. Click on the Facebook page for any of those who bang on about getting behind the team, stopping protesting, be careful what you wish for etc and you'll usually find their employment status set as 'retired'.
So, why do other clubs have large numbers of fans who are younger? As a pensioner I don't, and know other fans who are 60+ who are indifferent to or support the Allams.
