Aye, I'd expect Bowen to be unfit after the amount of games he's played in his first pro season. Players should be introduced with a little more care, especially in the championship. We don't have that luxury though, so I don't blame Slutsky for that. I didn't know about our fans calling for a sacking and your'e spot on with your assessment, they're arseholes
So what did we do wrong to let them back in the match?? Great that we equalized and let's hope that's a turning point. But it was obvious we were on the back foot for most of the second half and their goals were coming as they have in a lot of games. What would you have done to correct this.
They had a big lump up front that we didn’t cope with. We need to be ready for that, it’s about winning the second balls and breaking from there. We did a few times it not enough. Our defence is full of defenders that aren’t that great, and we have little backup. No amount of hurling abuse at Slutsky will change that fact.
The big lump up front has shafted us now on several occasions with a different shirt on each time. Managers know what to do to us yet ours doesn’t know how to stop it. That’s worrying and to be honest however big that lump is surely we have one central defender who can stick to him and sort him out. If not we need one quick.
Yet other teams cope with a big lump up front. Did slut have them prepared for that? So the second balls, should we have gone three at the back or put Evandro in there to shield the back four and pick up the second balls. That's what I would have been working on all week in training. I'm sure every club but wolves wish they'd made better signings in August.
given his late sub led to a rescued point. .
The post had more to do with it than Slutsky...
My reason for Henriksen was not due to him not playing well it was down to him not being fully fit and need width. We can't play him and Irvine, I don't think either of them are that much better than the other but neither of them should play left wing.
Since when was Evandro a defensive midfield player? Let's not make things up in this thread. He played behind a striker in Portugal week in week out or on the right wing. It's like when Kamil Ghilas became unbelievably good when injured.
Lost in translation I guess. By 'big forward' I'm guessing that he means a big player, and Abel certainly would've been but for his injury.
I've just watched the goals again and **** me what was Larsson doing. Just let hooper run off him for the second goal. And where was Clark. Basic defending and drills just haven't been coached into this team.
Whats the going rate for a 20 goal a season championship striker even with just 6 months of a contract to run? Sure Allams would get a few million for him.
