Whitehorn is a current member of Procol Harem, but it’s a strange band as it lists about 70 past members.
Whitehorn has played with some of the best bands in the world, but you won’t see him mentioned too often. Carved a career more as a session musician. If you subscribed to music magazines in the 70’s, he would be featured pretty regularly. Townsend from the Who claims he the best guitarist he’s ever worked with. I’m surprised a rock god like yourself, hasn’t really heard of him.

I think HIAG is more of a Rick Parfitt type of guy

  14. Rick was limited in what he could do, but when you earned as much as he did from playing the same three chords for 40 years, I dare say that there wasn’t much of an incentive to expand on his technique.

  17. It isn’t my cup of tea, but some of their early stuff is pretty good.

I liked them when they were a blues band. Rossi is a very underrated lead guitarist.

Don’t judge them on the commercial pap they started to produce from the middle 1980s.

Not really my cup of tea either, there's some great blues out there, but Status Quo have always been middle of the road really.

  19. There are a couple of albums they produced in the early 70s where you can hear the promise.

But somewhere on their journey, they took the Devil’s shilling for pop fame, and went massively down hill.
