Hopefully. They aren't going to be any use in a relegation battle. We're going to need hardened characters that have been around the block a bit.
Obviously this is assuming they're replaced. Losing anyone in the squad is worse than having them there, except for maybe Henriksen.
Bringing in 75% of a new back 4 isn't ideal in January though. The Chelsea lads aren't bad players, Slutsky just really didn't help them
I'd say bringing in a minimum of 4 defenders is the only way of salvaging our Championship status. We can't rely on 3 worse teams, as defensively I don't think there are.
I thought Dawson and Mazuch looked pretty decent together on Saturday and Tomori's a decent centre back, it's the full-backs we need to sort.
Now Slutsky's gone and Adkins is about to come in, I don't think we'll be anywhere near as bad. He'll drill them on the training ground, get them fitter and we should stop conceding
I'm not sure it really matters, I'm pretty sure you can start the job and do your coaching badges while in the position.
