"Unless this season is a total disaster, I can see him cementing his position from now on and really making a mark with us and thatâs testimony to his ability to turn us and his management around. Good on you Brucie" Guess who came out with this little nugget only five weeks ago. Some people have more faces than Big Ben.
CM - Quality quote, is there a prize for guessing?? If so, I'll try Gordon Brown - he was a lying toerag - am I right??
Martin O Neill (hasn't always needed millions) available and ready to start tomorrow Mark Hughes (also hasn't required of huge sums of money at Blackburn or Fulham) ready and available to start tomorrow David Moyes (hasn't had a penny to spend for 8 years at Everton) maybe not available but after 8 years with the Toffees, maybe ready for a change of scene? Theres 3 off the top of my head that are qualified and capable of taking over the reigns better than Bruce. There will be more if we really think hard. PS - who says there is no money? We sold Bent and Henderson for the best part of £44m, we have Sky money for this year and have only spent some £26m this summer in total. Surely any new manager would have at least £10m at his disposal immediately?
We are in a Premier league that, this season, has teams/ squads that have the ability to win any game. Stoke, Bolton, Aston Villa - are they going to get beat off the toon at home? Don't think it will happen. Forget the derby scenario - and you should be able to - we got beat at home by a team we shouldn't jave lost to. Because they are in disarray. Because we have brought in so-called proven premiership players. It's not the players who are bad. It's the manager who instilled the fear of failure into them on Saturday. Now. If Norwich, Wigan, Swansea don't live up to our expectations we are already in the clarts. Swansea now will be looking at us as a winnable proposition. Thoroughly p****d off. x
As there was no answer to what the stats were for the start of the 2010/11 season (i.e. up to end of 2010) I thought I'd supply the answer... P 19 W 6 D 8 L 5 GF 20 GA 21 Pts 27 Piss poor ehh??
does the derby game always turn you into a complete tosser cest. maybe you cant take abit grife @work its sad
We will see how clever and big the Bruce for President gang are after he buggers the club up in a few months time. However, I can guarantee you I have far better things to do with my real life, than sit and trawl through a ****ing fans forum website looking for snippets of excitement said by someone weeks and weeks ago. Ha Ha - life wanted. Apply above.
Thanks Cestria for the stats, i must admit it looks worse than i thought. Its tough though knowing what is best, wouldnt it be more crazy to get rid of a manager who has shaped a team just as the window closes. Wouldnt the next manager have a total nightmare? We have to give Bruce till the beginning of the next window to show us this plan. I know this has its dangers such as if we are hard up in relagation places by then but i think sticking with him till then outweighs replacing.....but that gap shortens all the time at the moment.
It was a bit tongue in cheek fella! In fairness tho we never had any spells in those games last season when we looked on top, but we certainly had spells on Saturday. I've agreed with you on many occasions Cest especially regarding the sale of Hendo but on this occasion I'm not. That's not to say I don't think you care about the club mind!
So not winning almost 2/3rds of your games is progress? His win ratio is less 30%, in a period of time you say is his good time. Do me a favour, never be a defence lawyer for anyone will you?
