    I'm really enjoying Charlie.
I spent too long listening to people over the summer. He has been treated pretty poorly by some very judgemental people.
Hope he keeps ramming it back down their throats.

I seem to remember that when he did his shoulder Austin could be heard saying “I’m okay, I’m okay.” (or similar) in between his cries of pain.

    Dermot Gallagher's verdict:

DERMOT SAYS: Yes, it's a penalty. We talk about players winning penalties, here, Smith has lost the penalty. It is a foul but the way he goes over sells to the referee that he's dived. Jon Moss' instant reaction is to think he's dived.

I agree completely with Dermot, apart from the first sentence. He lost the penalty (quite right), so he lost the penalty.

Good research, incorrect analysis. It clearly says that a direct free kick should be awarded for “attempted” kicks or trips. A direct free kick in the penalty are is a penalty.

Just seen a report that Jon Moss did NOT apologise and hasn't changed his decision. Someone telling fibs?

Now Bobby, there’s been lots of debate about whether Saints should have conceded a penalty this weekend. Wipe that from your mind as it is not your responsibility to even things up.

Probably best if you stop all these debates and just don’t give a penalty against Southampton.

Ps. If you fancy being on the telly a lot Sunday evening, you could always give us a dodgy penalty instead.

Hope we can role back a couple seasons and just old fashioned beat them. No dodgy pens, no flukes, no over time, just a pleasant 4-0.
Is that too much to ask. In short, yes. But still hoping.

I thought it was weird that a ref would be looking at replays mid match. Surely that doesn't help you look at future incidents impartialy

Bet anything Moss just said "if I got it wrong then sorry" or something. Which is code for F off and stop talking to me.
