Totally agree. His touch, at times, was slightly out of kilter, but he still excites me when he has the ball, simply because he has the ability to change the game, when it comes together.
There are times when he sees things that his teammates don’t. In the first half there was a time when he conjured up a back heeled pass for Bertrand, that went for a throw in, simply because Bertrand was on his heels and just didn’t expect it and had stopped moving forward.
I still want to see him taking players on, even on days like today when he ended up taking on one too many, at times.

Don't know what all the fuss is about the Penalty, Fraser would have saved it anyway?

It's not just his passing, it's his overall contribution. He never stops running, pressing and marshalling the team. I like the bloke and think we are better with him.
We have a lot of games in a month now and wouldn't expect him to be involved in all those games and its an area we have got good options.

    A true professional.

Edit, sorry you were talking more about boufal than davis

Boufal you mean? Totally, like I said he gets A for effort, his interchange with Bertrand was sublime again at times. I'm a big fan but today he didnt look like he was enjoying his football. He's a 'heart on sleeve' type and I think and thats the first time Ive seen that from him.

Not much to add except that i'm enjoying watching Saints again and Nathan and Fraser were pretty good today.

*Bertie is in the form of his life right now.

Sorry, but that was just a ridiculous decision from the ref. The touch was heavy and the ball was running away from him but Boufal scissor kicked both legs out from under him, he's going to fall flat on his face. Exaggerated or no it most certainly wasn't cheating.

He already started diving before any contact.......if he hadn't dived he would have got fouled then got his pen.

No, he didn’t. Watch it again. There’s not any actual contact. He dives like Tom Daley before he gets to Boufal’s legs. If he’d carried on running he’d have made contact, but he didn’t. He even jumps slightly up and over.

He jumped down. He wasn’t brought down, which he would have been were he to continue running like a normal human.

Manure and England Legend (yes I am being ironic) has just spent a minute ripping Boufal apart.

MoTD talking horse do-do's, said Boufal kicked the ball away, if so he got the ball first, so no foul, however I don't think he touched the ball, he did not make any attempt to foul the player, his legs were just there to be fallen over, and it was the way that the player threw himself down that made it look like simulation. A genuine shout perhaps, but not given so it wasn't a penalty.

Yep. Classic ‘English disease’ crap from the most industrial of players. Sofiane had a tricky game today, but he’s been class recently. Ragging him for not tracking back *rolls eyes*

The only part of Boufal he touches through the whole incident is his arm during his swan-dive.

I agree. The first time I saw it I thought Dive. Seen it loads of times since. He starts to go down before any contact is made. Dive. It's a similar one to when Falcao at Chelsea went over Stekelenberg's outstretched arms. They start going over before any contact is made. Admittedly, this one is closer than the Falcao dive, but it's still a dive.

And as for Neville ripping into Boufal, wtf.? So he hasn't seen any really great moments in the last few games.

Moreover, no contact is actually made (bar his arm midway through).

Yeah, you are right to make the distinction. There is no actual contact other than incircumstantial stuff.

Look, I'm totally ok with us not conceding a penalty but that is one of the worst decisions I've seen. I have watched it back. There was clear contact with Boufal's leg on the guys front foot and he even follows through with his back leg and makes contact with that as well. Couldn't make a gif of the replays but these stills are fair. If the positions were reversed we would be outraged.

I'm stoked we didnt concede a penalty, I'll even go so far as to say it was karma for Boufal not going down in the City box on Wednesday. Still a **** decision though.
