Some have suggested Graham Potter, but I'm struggling to understand why he would leave Ostersunds, who are about to make the Europa League group stages and are a fairy story in modern football, to come here. Unless he brings Jamie Hopcutt with him.
I keep hearing people mentioning Brownie. I don't think Bolton's recent players (or Southend's for that matter) are going to do us much good.
Was quite a bit shorter than that until Gary Megson came from nowhere to be 2/1 second favourite. Wasn't even on the board a couple of hours ago so there must be some money being laid down or itk info. At a guess, experienced campaigner being offered caretaker role with a shot at the permanent job.
Based on how this season has gone, the managerial shortlist is obvious. Nuno Espírito Santo Ian Holloway Darren Ferguson Gary Rowett Slaviša Jokanovic Alex Neil Mark Warburton Garry Monk Chris Wilder Lee Johnson Damn, we've lost a lot of games this season.
He’s not even mentioned on odds checker which is a relief....I think What about mad mick, he knows this division and can organise and I’m sure he can give a bollocking or two
I'd take Megson, I haven't seen him ever be **** anywhere. He did well with Bolton, brilliant at WBA (full time, although he did well as caretaker before Pardew) and was alright at Leicester (although he was poached by Bolton so didn't have long there). He was sacked by Wednesday despite them being pretty high up in the league, certainly within promotion places. His style of football isn't pretty, like his face, but he gets results and that's the sort of thing we need. But it doesn't matter, because it's blatantly Adkins.
He was absolute ****ing dog **** at Bolton. I have absolutely no idea why you think he was good at Bolton. The fact City and Bolton fans at the Reebok were both chanting 'Megson Out' during our match in December '09. Drawing 2-2, Megson was sacked the following day. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/bolton_wanderers/8434719.stm
They finished 13th that season. That's not ****, not for a club of Bolton's size. He kept them up the season before as well. Our greatest manager got us to the heady heights of 16th, which remains our highest ever finish.
He didn't get them to finish 13th. He was sacked on December 30th 2009 with Bolton 3rd from bottom of the league. Owen Coyle got Bolton to 13th that season, after Megson had done his best to try and get them relegated. Bolton fans despised Megson.
