So El Zhar has finally gone now another piece of deadwood cut out the squad.

With just over a week to go in this transfer window who else do you think may go.
Poulson is an obvious one, what about Joe Cole,it's all gone very quiet about any move for him but can't see him getting too near the first team unless it's the Carling Cup.
Degen would be another who needs to go.

With aqualani trying his damndest to manufacture a move away (which is a shame really but he seems to want to go back to Italy) where else could we strengthen apart from CB? Can't see us selling Mereilles to Chelsea and there are rumours that we may be looking at Rodellega , who would be a good buy at around 7 mill.

What say you?

Meireles won't be going now, unless a generous bid comes in - probably something above £15m. All those we are intent on selling haven't made either of the squads (Aquilani, Cole, Poulsen, Degen etc.)

I think if the opportunity arises, we'd like to have a proper winger for the right hand side, a CB and another striker if N'Gog goes. Most likely is just a CB though, and a striker at a push. Towards the end of the window a few surprises might pop up with lots of players finally moving.

Manufacture? He was given it. By us. Last summer he wanted to stay to prove his worth to all the doubters. So much for loyalty, then. So his bird and him settled back home and Roy's work was hardly making Aqua regret the decision.

Now he's had a chance to work with Kenny the 2nd choice of staying here doesn't seem to be so bad to him, at least not from the few words he's uttered in his respectable silence on the matter.

To me it's like we told our bird to go out for the night with a bloke from her work and they ended up together and now we're blaming the bird when she was only out cos there was footy on the telly and we wanted to get rid of her. Well, we reaped what we sowed.

This is the bed we made. This is the bed we lie in. All alone with no bird and only a big red pillow for our tears.

I can see both Poulsen and Degen leaving before the transfer window closes. I can see J.Cole staying till at least January.

<ok>

I thought Joe could have a good year for some reason recently.

I think he should definately go now, along with Poulsen.

Poulsen isn't needed, and Joe, well just doesn't perform anymore sadly.

Very happy Jova and El Zar have gone.

If anyone want's Degen, they'll have to break the bank.

Poulsen, can't we just leave him on some dark corner in gang territory one night- leave his contract conspicuously sticking out of one pocket... see if we can get someone to steal him?

Shame Cole didn't work out- although Gerrard said he was better than Messi... so I don't think I want Messi, he's not good enough for Liverpool.

I heard my five year old nephew is better than messi, and the only balls my nephews touched are his own.

Sound like your speaking from past experience here?

On a serious note, I think we'll start seeing more players go now. The main priority was to get players in. We've done that, now they can concentrate on getting the players not needed out of the squad. Can certainly see atleast 2 or 3 others going within th enext few days.

Is this an alternative version of the Holloway 'performance theory'?

Apparently.
Joe Cole will have to take a massive pay-cut to leave. QPR are currently willing to offer him approximately £36,000 a week. They will also pay Liverpool £3 million for his services.
Poulsen is allegedly wanted by FC Copenhagen according to his agent.
The Aquilani rumours are rife, however I believe that if we let these go, we'll sign a striker and a centre back.

I didn't love her. It was a mistake. I was more concerned with my own things. I didn't send her out with another bloke but I might as well have. It was a destructive relationship. She only did it to get my attention. She wanted my babies and I wanted to rock. Best sex I ever had, though, and she came back years later when she was married looking for me. Pth, nurses.

So yeah, I speak from a position of experience. knowledge and deep wisdom. So pay attention before your bird's up against the bins out the back of a bar while you're at home shouting for offside.

Liverpool have been offered €7 million for Alberto Aquilani by AC Milan, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

They can F*** off with that sort of offer, I don't understand why these Italian teams aren't even getting close to the realm of 10 million for Aqua...

Thats ridiculously low bid, does this mean that we now can do what other clubs (coughspudscough) do and claim that the bid is an insult and that he is worth alot more

On Aqua trying to get out....he has sunk two bids by wanting too much wages, if rumours be believed. So he can't be that desperate. Italian football is a bit of a laughing stock with transfer fees at the moment, one minute they are all crying poverty, then the next they are offering £20M for a player. They can get stuffed with £7. If Aquaman can't settle and is homesick, he should put in an official transfer request, else all this should end, as he is too go to flog off at a bargain price.

I think a deal for Joe Cole might not come 'til the last day of the window. Maybe granny grabber Redknapp will buy him to replace Modric if he goes. But since his wages are so high, I'm sure we'll take the bait if offered.

I think from here on in, it will go quiet until that last day, then we might shift a few more fringe players.
