Hang on, Col. Didn't you that said that he would 'lose the dressing room if he hasn't already'.

Go back and read exactly what I said. Yes I did say "if he hasn't already" because no one has a hotline into the dressing room so it's a possibility. I'm certain he will if he carries on the way he's going. I don't think he has yet as the players are obviously still trying, but maybe they've bought into his passion for the club, but have had enough of him? Who knows?

I've gone back and read exactly what you said, Col, and it's exactly what I said you said.

and in the end he will lose the dressing room (if he hasn't already).

    This bit really gets me.....

Wszolek was kind of a roving wing back with Luongo and Scowen in their usual slots, debutant Chair and Wheeler were in wider positions, with Mackie (temporarily) supporting Washington.

This bloke plainly doesn't have a clue who was playing where, and he was at the game! I can't believe even Holloway would consider Wszolek to be an out-and-out right back as some have suggested, so surely we were playing 3-5-2? If that was the case, who was playing LWB? Wheeler?

Can anyone who was at the game, or watched on a stream, please explain?

Commentators said we started 4 5 1 and it looked it to me from the stream. Pawel got forward a lot at right back and did well down the right, great nutmeg, got crosses in, and defended better as the game went on, which he needed to after Mackie's red. Bidwell was LB and stayed mostly back. Robinson and Baptiste the CB's. Wheeler started wide right in the 5, but cut in well to the box on occasion, Chair, Luongo, and Scowen in the middle, and Mackie left side. Conor up front. Luongo played deeper than he has been. After Mackie left Chair moved to the left and Conor was dropping back a lot. Chair moved to the right side when Wheeler was subbed for Smith.

    And I stand by that.
If he continues the way he is. I believe that he will eventually lose the dressing room.

    I hope I'm wrong.

I hope your'e wrong too Col but unfortunately this happens at every level of adult football. Players lose faith in managers tactics and decision making just as fans do. Some players will just get on with it and some will stop and think differently.

Any managers life span is x
    97% happy st the moment
My point any grumbles too early if you take into account the injured players missing
    Goals and finishing 3% concerns
    Stop snatching at chances

Agree. Holloway's man management and motivation skills seem to be pretty good. But it's all very well giving a storming speech before each match professing "Right, lads, it's us against the world, including those feckless QPR fans that left the Brentford match early", if his team selections and tactics could be properly be challenged by an 11 year old playing Football Manager 2017, and after each loss, the team sinks further down towards the relegation slots.

Col I think he will be gone before he loses the dressing room. Agree with Goldie somewhat on this in that his motivational skills seem pretty good. It's the rest of the package that will cost him his job, which I will explain.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fortunately for people like me we don't live in some draconian world where we are not allowed to question things when they are obviously wrong.
Hollows record stinks injuries or not. His tactics and team selections are bizarre at best and any fool can see we are going backward and sliding down the table. We are all hoping that clubs like Hull, Brum, Bolton and Sunderland will keep losing and it's not even Christmas! Take Bolton, a few weeks ago they looked relegated but then... have lost 1 in 8. I cannot see QPR doing this or scoring the goals

    Bolton 2-1 Sheff W
    Bolton 1-1 QPR
    Fulham 1-1 Bolton
    Sunderland 3-1 Sunderland
    Bolton 2-1 Norwich
    Preston 0-0 Bolton
    Bolton 2-2 Reading
    Wolves 5-1 Bolton

We are not up for a relegation fight and I don't think we have the players for it. too many defensive mistakes, too many goals either just before half time or just before the 90mins (Preston our latest example). Yes the team might be fighting but why do they keep switching off at crucial times? Who is there to make sure that doesn't happen....Hollow yet time and time again it's the same thing. What does Birch do? He sits there like an overweight squirrel listening to Hollow doing nothing? Who is there to tell Hollow not to play Mackie? Our ship is rudderless and people cant see it.

The real problem is denial, denial from some fans who wanted Project Holloway and it is failing before their eyes so they criticise fans like me who dare question his Hollowness. We get called 'fickle' and 'arm chair' supporters. If some are referring to me then I am more than happy to share my experiences over many years as a season ticket holder going home and away, even to reserve and friendly games. I have spent many a cold night up north on a Tuesday with just 100/200 of us. Sadly this season has been difficult for me due to a family members illness and has stopped me from attending. However, I am watching on TV, listening to the radio and reading the reports and comments on here and other sites. Most importantly my mate who goes to every home and away game gives his account and I trust his judgement.

As for removing Hollow, I agree there is not much out there and with FFP restrictions it will be difficult but getting relegated would be a disaster for us make no bones about it. The last thing that this club need is a relegation. I never wanted Holloway because I had memories of his last spell (plus my Millwall mate said he was useless, which he was). At first, I thought I was going to eat humble pie and Hollow had changed but then I quickly I discovered that it was only going to go one way.

I seriously don't want to be right but feel with him in charge we will get relegated. His outburst regarding fans leaving early was disgusting but showed again that he is out of his depth and struggling.
The next 3 weeks will really determine our season. If Hollow gets the results I won't call for his head, however, if we are in a relegation mess I will be singing from the top of the floodlights to sack him.

One of my 'gripes' is playing players out of position. This is before the injury crisis hit hard. We have stumbled upon Robinson as a C/B ,more by luck than anything else.
Pawel is not a full back/wing back
    Bidwell is not a 3rd C/B
Baptiste is not a right back (as Nottm F will testify)
    Cousins is not a R/B.
    It goes on.
Add to that the amount of goals conceded just before/after half time and late, like Sat. Plus someone's 1st goal of the season/their life, Norwich, Brentford etc..
On the plus side we have come back twice from 2 goals down, one when behind (Hull), so something is there. We need to play Smith or Sylla alongside someone every game, play a couple of kids, not too many and something will start to tick. Trust me.

Looking forward to the FA cup draw anyone|? Thought not!

Hoofball as we put it is a perfectly good tactic currently as we are usually chasing games this team as this team has miles to go to learn domination
Get the work ethic right which is currently spot on then we go from there
Too many of here think this is a finished side hence the post match moans
Slowly slowly I say only then will you see any progress and only then can we judge
How we can talk about formations now is beyond me as each match brings a new focus. We aren't even looking like being settled yet for all sorts of reasons and they aren't all Holloway's selection trials

I agree with that and when Hollow came I posted that it would be 'Hoofball' but he did the opposite and tried to play it on the floor, which at the time I thought was wrong as we needed to play to our strengths of the big bloke up front. You remember like the Brett angell days. That was when we went on that losing streak.

So we are just waiting to go from there, wherever there is?? Ability and tactics I presume you mean. Some players do have ability more than others but they are all stuck with the same stupid naive tactics changed every bloody game.
