Bertrand been our best player. Missed chances from both teams but really I think this is two points dropped.

Feel like that was 2 points dropped.. gifted them a goal and we had some great chances to win it in the second half.. Bertrand not picking out Austin who was open shortly after the first sticks out the most for me, it would have killed them off.

 

So much love that our left side play has returned. Bertrand, Tadic and Boufal; linking up for fun. Really it should have won us the game, but for Austin's bad miss (and/or Bertrand's failure to pick him out earlier). Why, why, why did it take MP so long to take Redmond away from that flank?

 

This week has been encouraging, I think.

Today we played well and it was entertaining. Unfortunately, Wesley’s silly bollocks routine has hampered us.

You just wish Charlie had nailed that header or Bertrand had pulled the ball across a little bit more when Charlie was in acres of space.

But this week has encouraged me. Tough games to come but keep plugging away as we are and it’s coming together.

Most encouraging for me is that it looks like we’re starting to establish a system again. Wide players to cross to Austin or find the overlapping defender, a nippy and tricky 10 (Boufal) and two solid midfielders to shield the backline.

We were losing and got a draw out of it...that's the best way round. Very important not to lose today and excellent to have Austin in form again. Good goal.

Pellegrino is certainly playing to cross the ball in now which is what this team is far better at imo. Redmond looked better on the right and got the assist. Boufal still trying to do to much. At his best when playing the simple pass to Berty.

 

Great summary, it does feel as though this week that saints of old has returned in parts.. something we haven’t seen for a while. Small steps but encouraging. Just wish we could start the season again and the upcoming tough run doesn’t ruin any confidence that’s been built
