:grin:Thanks Leeds60, but I'm still in control. TBH I try not to drink during the week, unless the Mighty Whites are playing(when I definitely need to). I only unleash FRI/SAT/SUN.<ok>

I can see why people would think I'm an alcoholic. But I like my ale, I don't or very rarely drink spirits. My bills are clear and the shopping is catered for each week. Then If I've any left in the pot, I'll get some ale..<ok>

You shouldn’t have to explain why you partake in your national sport...

We lose when I expect a win, we win when I expect us to get turned over. No idea of the points we can expect but the next few games will certainly tell us if we are an improving side that just needed a bit longer to gel and settle in...

I think we are improving, I wasn’t sure if we were playing a very poor Barnsley and a Boro team who were having an off day or if we made them look bad. However I am sure we were playing a very good side in Villa and they were NO better than us.

You clearly have no idea about alcoholism its a disease a very dangerous one that if it gets hold of you will kill you
There are different types of alcoholics toppers or binge drinkers who stay topped up al the time and then there are those who may stay sober for a period of time then might have a liquor which starts a reaction which ends in them being absolutely comatosed for days. The only way is to stop
I drink everyday but I am not an alcoholic they usually don't suffer from hangovers

I don't suffer from hangovers Leeds60. I've seen brother in laws who are/were alcoholics, so I know a little bit about it. You're right though, it's a nasty disease. But it can be started because of a death in the family, depression(which drink makes worse) social pressure etc etc. I don't think I'm an alcho, though people may think differently. I like ale, I like the taste of it and I don't drink 24/7. <ok>

The reason I don't suffer from hang overs, well not since I started drinking ale, is because ale is not as strong as a lot of other beers. Now years ago when I was known for my cider drinking exploits that was different. I had hangovers from hell, nevermind acid/heartburn. But since those days are over, I don't suffer from those things now. Like I said Leeds60, If I'm genuinely worried about my alcohol consumption, I know who to go to for advise. Thanks again. My name is Shako..........that's what people call me and that's what I answer to.........<cheers>

I probably drink 2-3 units a week. When on holiday I could have a few pints of lager and have a hangover from hell, just three pints of that Indian Beer Cobra and my head is well and truly banging.

Give me Brandy or Rum and the following morning I’m fine, I think it depends on certain drinks to be honest. My auntie was an alcoholic as was a cousin of mine, they would start the morning with Tennants extra or Carlsberg special brew.

Worked as a barman many many years ago and saw first hand the two sides to alcohol. The positives of those that enjoyed themselves and those whose lives were totally consumed by it

    Classy Shako.<laugh>

Lot of pubs wouldn't serve ordinary snakebite in Scotland when I lived there cos it made the locals more fighty<doh>, never mind that hellish cocktail.
