    I didn't need winter tyres, I was in four wheel drive car, but unfortunately it can't fly, so it didn't help me any, as I couldn't get past everyone else who was stuck.

    I thought about going the back way out of Newbald, but the back roads were unused, you couldn't even see where the road was, it wasn't worth the risk just for a meal (and the people I was meeting there couldn't get there anyway).

    You were lucky. Too bad here to battle your way through. Must have been. They shut the comp at the top of my road and the one on the other side of town at 9am due to snowy conditions. Thoughnthe junior scuools,mincludingbthe one hext doorbto the compmatbtge top of my road remained open.Funny old world
