Thought it was a very good goal. He hit it first time, and accurately from over 50 metres. Goal of the decade, no. But still a top goal.
Yeah you had a good spell but I don’t remember Pickford having to do much out the ordinary apart from the penalty. Lanzini is the one ray of hope. Arnautovic, Ayew, Obiang, Kouyate etc all look woeful. Masuaku did ok. And that defence. FFS that defence.
I'm reliably informed that it's not luck, but game management by officials. They've basically been told not to send anyone off unless they absolutely have to. If Atkinson believes that Mignolet didn't intentionally bring down Diouf, then he doesn't have to send him off.
If Cresswell had scored, or Lanzini it would've been a different end, instead...Hart. He's out for Man City, apparently, but yeah, Obiang and Kouyate make too many mistakes which nearly always end in a goal, the penalty was caused by one of them, and the 2nd Kouyate just let Rooney go. He's been awful this season, missing sitters right left and centre, giving the ball away needlessly. The defence has been appalling since 6 months into Bilic's reign, we only look semi-competent as a 3 or when James Collins is on. Crazy as it may seem, though, I've seen a definite improvement since Moyes came.
Moyes is trying to get the Hammers to play as a team, and to get them organised. It’s going to take time, but he will eventually get them playing better football. Whether or not all of the players are capable of doing or willing to do that remains to be seen.
Yeah I get that. When Holloway came in for us we had an atrocious run but you could see he had a plan which was an improvement on what he’d been left. There’s just a lot of similarities between your team and the one we had under Redknapp IMO.
Listening to Talksport and they mentioned on there how when West Ham played at Everton a while back, the West Ham fans were singing 'Where's your Moysey gone?' to which Everton fans replied 'You've got Sam Allerdyce' Lol...life.
How David Moyes gets any job is beyond me. Any job. Even if he was sweeping dried dog **** up in a Kosovan kennel, I'd still be surprised that he got the job. Useless, never-won-a-thing, goggle eyed mong.
The media love 'the wally with the brolly'? I think they take the piss out of him probably more than any other manager.
The wally with the brolly was a Sun headline I think, that newspaper slates everybody though, even though McClaren deserved it. But overall, the media outlets like the BBC have been pretty supportive of McClaren even though he is a clusterfuck of a manager.
He is that, yeah. Was a genuinely cracking coach though. Was very successful while at United. He sums up perfectly the gulf between a coach and a manager. And Tel sums up perfectly the amazement at Moyes's employment!
I'll never forget the season where McClaren oversaw Middlesbrough getting humped home and away, and during a 0-4 defeat by Aston Villa a home fan ran onto the pitch down the touchline to the dugout and threw his season ticket at McClaren. A few months later the FA were making him England manager
